Psalms 94:17-23
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 94
17If the Lord had not been my help, My soul would soon have dwelt in the land of silence. 18If I should say, 'My foot has slipped,' Your faithfulness, Lord, will support me. 19When my anxious thoughts multiply within me, Your comfort delights my soul. 20Can a throne of destruction be allied with You, One which devises mischief by decree? 21They band themselves together against the life of the righteous And condemn the innocent to death. 22But the Lord has been my refuge, And my God the rock of my refuge. 23He has brought back their injustice upon them, And He will destroy them in their evil; The Lord our God will destroy them.King James Version
Chapter 94
17Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence. 18When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up. 19In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul. 20Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law? 21They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood. 22But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge. 23And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 94
17If the Lord had not been my helper, I would soon rest in the silence of death. 18If I say, "My foot is slipping," your faithful love will support me, Lord.
19When I am filled with cares, your comfort brings me joy.
20Can a corrupt throne be your ally, a throne that makes evil laws?
21They band together against the life of the righteous and condemn the innocent to death.
22But the Lord is my refuge; my God is the rock of my protection.
23He will pay them back for their sins and destroy them for their evil. The Lord our God will destroy them.
New Living Translation
Chapter 94
17Unless the Lord had helped me, I would soon have settled in the silence of the grave. 18I cried out, 'I am slipping!' but your unfailing love, O Lord, supported me. 19When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer.
20Can unjust leaders claim that God is on their side — leaders whose decrees permit injustice?
21They gang up against the righteous and condemn the innocent to death.
22But the Lord is my fortress; my God is the mighty rock where I hide.
23God will turn the sins of evil people back on them. He will destroy them for their sins. The Lord our God will destroy them.

Chapter 94
17If the LORD had not been my help, my soul would soon have lived in the land of silence. 18When I thought, “My foot slips,” your steadfast love, O LORD, held me up. 19When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul. 20Can wicked rulers be allied with you, those who frame injustice by statute? 21They band together against the life of the righteous and condemn the innocent to death. 22But the LORD has become my stronghold, and my God the rock of my refuge. 23He will bring back on them their iniquity and wipe them out for their wickedness; the LORD our God will wipe them out.New International Version
Chapter 94
17Unless the LORD had given me help, I would soon have dwelt in the silence of death. 18When I said, 'My foot is slipping,' your unfailing love, LORD, supported me.
19When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.
20Can a corrupt throne be allied with you-- a throne that brings on misery by its decrees?
21The wicked band together against the righteous and condemn the innocent to death.
22But the LORD has become my fortress, and my God the rock in whom I take refuge.
23He will repay them for their sins and destroy them for their wickedness; the LORD our God will destroy them.
