Psalms 30:1-9
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 30
1I will exalt You, Lord, for You have lifted me up, And have not let my enemies rejoice over me. 2Lord my God, I cried to You for help, and You healed me. 3Lord, You have brought up my soul from Sheol; You have kept me alive, that I would not go down to the pit. 4Sing praise to the Lord, you His godly ones, And praise the mention of His holiness. 5For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning. 6Now as for me, I said in my prosperity, 'I will never be moved.' 7Lord, by Your favor You have made my mountain to stand strong; You hid Your face, I was dismayed. 8To You, Lord, I called, And to the Lord I pleaded for compassion: 9'What gain is there in my blood, if I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise You? Will it declare Your faithfulness?King James Version
Chapter 30
1{A Psalm and Song at the dedication of the house of David.} I will extol thee, O LORD; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me. 2O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me. 3O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. 4Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. 5For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
6And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.
7LORD, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.
8I cried to thee, O LORD; and unto the LORD I made supplication.
9What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?

Chapter 30
1I will exalt you, Lord, because you have lifted me up and have not allowed my enemies to triumph over me. 2Lord my God, I cried to you for help, and you healed me.
3Lord, you brought me up from Sheol; you spared me from among those going down to the Pit.
4Sing to the Lord, you his faithful ones, and praise his holy name.
5For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor, a lifetime. Weeping may stay overnight, but there is joy in the morning.
6When I was secure, I said, "I will never be shaken."
7Lord, when you showed your favor, you made me stand like a strong mountain; when you hid your face, I was terrified.
8Lord, I called to you; I sought favor from my Lord:
9"What gain is there in my death, if I go down to the Pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it proclaim your truth?
New Living Translation
