Psalms 27:1-3
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 27
1The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom should I fear? The Lord is the defense of my life; Whom should I dread? 2When evildoers came upon me to devour my flesh, My adversaries and my enemies, they stumbled and fell. 3If an army encamps against me, My heart will not fear; If war arises against me, In spite of this I am confident.King James Version
Chapter 27
1{A Psalm of David.} The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? 2When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. 3Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.Christian Standard Bible
New Living Translation
Chapter 27
1The Lord is my light and my salvation — so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble? 2When evil people come to devour me, when my enemies and foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. 3Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attacked, I will remain confident.English Standard Version
