Psalms 22:13-23
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 22
13They open their mouths wide at me, As a ravening and roaring lion. 14I am poured out like water, And all my bones are out of joint; My heart is like wax; It is melted within me. 15My strength is dried up like a piece of pottery, And my tongue clings to my jaws; And You lay me in the dust of death. 16For dogs have surrounded me; A band of evildoers has encompassed me; They pierced my hands and my feet. 17I can count all my bones. They look, they stare at me; 18They divide my garments among them, And they cast lots for my clothing. 19But You, Lord, do not be far away; You who are my help, hurry to my assistance. 20Save my soul from the sword, My only life from the power of the dog. 21Save me from the lion’s mouth; From the horns of the wild oxen You answer me. 22I will proclaim Your name to my brothers; In the midst of the assembly I will praise You. 23You who fear the Lord, praise Him; All you descendants of Jacob, glorify Him, And stand in awe of Him, all you descendants of Israel.King James Version
Chapter 22
13They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion. 14I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels. 15My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death. 16For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet. 17I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me. 18They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture. 19But be not thou far from me, O LORD: O my strength, haste thee to help me. 20Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog. 21Save me from the lion's mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns.Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 22
13They open their mouths against me -- lions, mauling and roaring. 14I am poured out like water, and all my bones are disjointed; my heart is like wax, melting within me. 15My strength is dried up like baked clay; my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth. You put me into the dust of death. 16For dogs have surrounded me; a gang of evildoers has closed in on me; they pierced my hands and my feet. 17I can count all my bones; people look and stare at me.
18They divided my garments among themselves, and they cast lots for my clothing.
19But you, Lord, don't be far away. My strength, come quickly to help me.
20Rescue my life from the sword, my only life from the power of these dogs.
21Save me from the lion's mouth, from the horns of wild oxen. You answered me!
22I will proclaim your name to my brothers and sisters; I will praise you in the assembly.
23You who fear the Lord, praise him! All you descendants of Jacob, honor him! All you descendants of Israel, revere him!

My heart is like wax, melting within me. 15My strength has dried up like sunbaked clay. My tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth. You have laid me in the dust and left me for dead. 16My enemies surround me like a pack of dogs; an evil gang closes in on me. They have pierced my hands and feet. 17I can count all my bones. My enemies stare at me and gloat. 18They divide my garments among themselves and throw dice for my clothing.English Standard Version
