Psalms 16:1-6
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 16
1 Protect me, God, for I take refuge in You. 2 I said to the Lord, 'You are my Lord; I have nothing good besides You.' 3As for the saints who are on the earth, They are the majestic ones; all my delight is in them. 4 The pains of those who have acquired another god will be multiplied; I will not pour out their drink offerings of blood, Nor will I take their names upon my lips. 5The Lord is the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You support my lot. 6The measuring lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; Indeed, my inheritance is beautiful to me.King James Version
Chapter 16
1{Michtam of David.} Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust. 2O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee; 3But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight. 4Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips. 5The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot. 6The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 16
1Protect me, God, for I take refuge in you. 2I said to the Lord, "You are my Lord; I have nothing good besides you." 3As for the holy people who are in the land, they are the noble ones. All my delight is in them.New Living Translation
2I said to the Lord, 'You are my Master! Every good thing I have comes from you.'
3The godly people in the land are my true heroes! I take pleasure in them!
4Troubles multiply for those who chase after other gods. I will not take part in their sacrifices of blood or even speak the names of their gods.

Chapter 16
1A Miktam of David. Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge. 2I say to the LORD, “You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you.” 3As for the saints in the land, they are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight. 4The sorrows of those who run after another god shall multiply; their drink offerings of blood I will not pour out or take their names on my lips. 5The LORD is my chosen portion and my cup; you hold my lot. 6The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance.New International Version
Chapter 16
1A miktam of David. Keep me safe, my God, for in you I take refuge. 2I say to the LORD, 'You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.' 3I say of the holy people who are in the land, 'They are the noble ones in whom is all my delight.'
4Those who run after other gods will suffer more and more. I will not pour out libations of blood to such gods or take up their names on my lips.
5LORD, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure.
6The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.
