5The proud have hidden a trap for me, and snares; They have spread a net at the wayside; They have set snares for me. Selah 6I said to the Lord, 'You are my God; Listen, Lord, to the sound of my pleadings. 7 God the Lord, the strength of my salvation, You have covered my head on the day of battle. 8Do not grant, Lord, the desires of the wicked; Do not bring about his evil planning, so that they are not exalted. Selah 9'As for the head of those who surround me, May the harm of their lips cover them. 10May burning coals fall upon them; May they be cast into the fire, Into bottomless pits from which they cannot rise.King James Version
Chapter 140
5The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set gins for me. Selah. 6I said unto the LORD, Thou art my God: hear the voice of my supplications, O LORD. 7O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.
8Grant not, O LORD, the desires of the wicked: further not his wicked device; lest they exalt themselves. Selah.
9As for the head of those that compass me about, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.
10Let burning coals fall upon them: let them be cast into the fire; into deep pits, that they rise not up again.

Chapter 140
5The proud hide a trap with ropes for me; they spread a net along the path and set snares for me. Selah 6I say to the Lord, "You are my God." Listen, Lord, to my cry for help. 7Lord, my Lord, my strong Savior, you shield my head on the day of battle.
8Lord, do not grant the desires of the wicked; do not let them achieve their goals. Otherwise, they will become proud. Selah
9When those who surround me rise up, may the trouble their lips cause overwhelm them.
10Let hot coals fall on them. Let them be thrown into the fire, into the abyss, never again to rise.
