Psalms 91:5-16
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 91
5You will not be afraid of the terror by night, Or of the arrow that flies by day; 6Of the plague that stalks in darkness, Or of the destruction that devastates at noon. 7A thousand may fall at your side And ten thousand at your right hand, But it shall not approach you. 8You will only look on with your eyes And see the retaliation against the wicked. 9 For you have made the Lord, my refuge, The Most High, your dwelling place. 10No evil will happen to you, Nor will any plague come near your tent. 11For He will give His angels orders concerning you, To protect you in all your ways. 12On their hands they will lift you up, So that you do not strike your foot against a stone. 13You will walk upon the lion and cobra, You will trample the young lion and the serpent. 14'Because he has loved Me, I will save him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name. 15He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. 16I will satisfy him with a long life, And show him My salvation.'King James Version

Chapter 91
5You will not fear the terror of the night, the arrow that flies by day, 6the plague that stalks in darkness, or the pestilence that ravages at noon. 7Though a thousand fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, the pestilence will not reach you.
8You will only see it with your eyes and witness the punishment of the wicked.
9Because you have made the Lord —my refuge, the Most High—your dwelling place,
10no harm will come to you; no plague will come near your tent.
11For he will give his angels orders concerning you, to protect you in all your ways.
12They will support you with their hands so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the young lion and the serpent.
14Because he has his heart set on me, I will deliver him; I will protect him because he knows my name.
15When he calls out to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble. I will rescue him and give him honor.
16I will satisfy him with a long life and show him my salvation.
New Living Translation
Chapter 91
5Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. 6Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. 7Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you. 8Just open your eyes, and see how the wicked are punished.
9If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter,
10no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home.
11For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go.
12They will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.
13You will trample upon lions and cobras; you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet!

Chapter 91
5 You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, 6nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday. 7A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. 8You will only look with your eyes and see the recompense of the wicked. 9Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place — the Most High, who is my refuge — 10 no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent. 11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. 12On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone. 13You will tread on the lion and the adder; the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot. 14"Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name. 15When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. 16With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation."New International Version
