Psalms 88:9-13
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 88
9My eye grows dim from misery; I have called upon You every day, Lord; I have spread out my hands to You. 10Will You perform wonders for the dead? Or will the departed spirits rise and praise You? Selah 11Will Your graciousness be declared in the grave, Your faithfulness in Abaddon? 12Will Your wonders be made known in the darkness? And Your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness? 13But I, Lord, have cried out to You for help, And in the morning my prayer comes before You.King James Version
10Wilt thou shew wonders to the dead? shall the dead arise and praise thee? Selah.
11Shall thy lovingkindness be declared in the grave? or thy faithfulness in destruction?
12Shall thy wonders be known in the dark? and thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?
13But unto thee have I cried, O LORD; and in the morning shall my prayer prevent thee.
Christian Standard Bible
New Living Translation
11Can those in the grave declare your unfailing love? Can they proclaim your faithfulness in the place of destruction?
12Can the darkness speak of your wonderful deeds? Can anyone in the land of forgetfulness talk about your righteousness?
13O Lord, I cry out to you. I will keep on pleading day by day.
