Chapter 84

3The bird also has found a house, And the swallow a nest for herself, where she may put her young: Your altars, Lord of armies, My King and my God. 4Blessed are those who dwell in Your house! They are ever praising You. Selah 5Blessed is the person whose strength is in You, In whose heart are the roads to Zion! 6Passing through the Valley of Baca they make it a spring; The early rain also covers it with blessings. 7They go from strength to strength, Every one of them appears before God in Zion. 8Lord God of armies, hear my prayer; Listen, God of Jacob! Selah 9See our shield, God, And look at the face of Your anointed.

3Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O Lord of hosts, my King, and my God.
4Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.
5Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.
6Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.
7They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.
8O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.
9Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.

3Even a sparrow finds a home, and a swallow, a nest for herself where she places her young— near your altars, Lord of Armies, my King and my God.
4How happy are those who reside in your house, who praise you continually. Selah 5Happy are the people whose strength is in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage. 6As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a source of springwater; even the autumn rain will cover it with blessings.
7They go from strength to strength; each appears before God in Zion.
8 Lord God of Armies, hear my prayer; listen, God of Jacob. Selah
9Consider our shield, God; look on the face of your anointed one.

3Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow builds her nest and raises her young at a place near your altar, O Lord of Heaven’s Armies, my King and my God!
4What joy for those who can live in your house, always singing your praises. Interlude
5What joy for those whose strength comes from the Lord, who have set their minds on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem. 6When they walk through the Valley of Weeping, it will become a place of refreshing springs. The autumn rains will clothe it with blessings. 7They will continue to grow stronger, and each of them will appear before God in Jerusalem.
