Psalms 80:8-13
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 80
8You removed a vine from Egypt; You drove out the nations and planted it. 9You cleared the ground before it, And it took deep root and filled the land. 10The mountains were covered with its shadow, And the cedars of God with its branches. 11It was sending out its branches to the sea And its shoots to the Euphrates River. 12Why have You broken down its hedges, So that all who pass that way pick its fruit? 13A boar from the forest eats it away, And whatever moves in the field feeds on it.King James Version
Chapter 80
8Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it. 9Thou preparedst room before it, and didst cause it to take deep root, and it filled the land. 10The hills were covered with the shadow of it, and the boughs thereof were like the goodly cedars. 11She sent out her boughs unto the sea, and her branches unto the river. 12Why hast thou then broken down her hedges, so that all they which pass by the way do pluck her? 13The boar out of the wood doth waste it, and the wild beast of the field doth devour it.Christian Standard Bible
New Living Translation
Chapter 80
8You brought us from Egypt like a grapevine; you drove away the pagan nations and transplanted us into your land. 9You cleared the ground for us, and we took root and filled the land. 10Our shade covered the mountains; our branches covered the mighty cedars. 11We spread our branches west to the Mediterranean Sea; our shoots spread east to the Euphrates River. 12But now, why have you broken down our walls so that all who pass by may steal our fruit? 13The wild boar from the forest devours it, and the wild animals feed on it.English Standard Version
