Psalms 80:1-6
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 80
1Listen, Shepherd of Israel, Who leads Joseph like a flock; You who are enthroned above the cherubim, shine forth! 2Before Ephraim, Benjamin, and Manasseh, awaken Your power, And come to save us! 3God, restore us And make Your face shine upon us, and we will be saved. 4Lord God of armies, How long will You be angry with the prayer of Your people? 5You have fed them with the bread of tears, And You have made them drink tears in large measure. 6You make us an object of contention to our neighbors, And our enemies laugh among themselves.King James Version
Chapter 80
1{To the chief Musician upon ShoshannimEduth, A Psalm of Asaph.} Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth. 2Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up thy strength, and come and save us. 3Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. 4O LORD God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people? 5Thou feedest them with the bread of tears; and givest them tears to drink in great measure. 6Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbours: and our enemies laugh among themselves.Christian Standard Bible
New Living Translation
Chapter 80
1Please listen, O Shepherd of Israel, you who lead Joseph’s descendants like a flock. O God, enthroned above the cherubim, display your radiant glory 2to Ephraim, Benjamin, and Manasseh. Show us your mighty power. Come to rescue us!
3Turn us again to yourself, O God. Make your face shine down upon us. Only then will we be saved.
4O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies, how long will you be angry with our prayers?
5You have fed us with sorrow and made us drink tears by the bucketful.
6You have made us the scorn of neighboring nations. Our enemies treat us as a joke.
