Psalms 80:1-10
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 80
1Listen, Shepherd of Israel, Who leads Joseph like a flock; You who are enthroned above the cherubim, shine forth! 2Before Ephraim, Benjamin, and Manasseh, awaken Your power, And come to save us! 3God, restore us And make Your face shine upon us, and we will be saved. 4Lord God of armies, How long will You be angry with the prayer of Your people? 5You have fed them with the bread of tears, And You have made them drink tears in large measure. 6You make us an object of contention to our neighbors, And our enemies laugh among themselves. 7God of armies, restore us And make Your face shine upon us, and we will be saved. 8You removed a vine from Egypt; You drove out the nations and planted it. 9You cleared the ground before it, And it took deep root and filled the land. 10The mountains were covered with its shadow, And the cedars of God with its branches.King James Version
Chapter 80
1{To the chief Musician upon ShoshannimEduth, A Psalm of Asaph.} Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth. 2Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up thy strength, and come and save us. 3Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. 4O LORD God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people? 5Thou feedest them with the bread of tears; and givest them tears to drink in great measure. 6Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbours: and our enemies laugh among themselves. 7Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 80
1Listen, Shepherd of Israel, who leads Joseph like a flock; you who sit enthroned between the cherubim, shine 2on Ephraim, Benjamin, and Manasseh. Rally your power and come to save us.
3Restore us, God; make your face shine on us, so that we may be saved.
4Lord God of Armies, how long will you be angry with your people's prayers?
5You fed them the bread of tears and gave them a full measure of tears to drink.
6You put us at odds with our neighbors; our enemies mock us.
7Restore us, God of Armies; make your face shine on us, so that we may be saved.
8You dug up a vine from Egypt; you drove out the nations and planted it.
9You cleared a place for it; it took root and filled the land.
10The mountains were covered by its shade, and the mighty cedars with its branches.
New Living Translation
Chapter 80
1Please listen, O Shepherd of Israel, you who lead Joseph’s descendants like a flock. O God, enthroned above the cherubim, display your radiant glory 2to Ephraim, Benjamin, and Manasseh. Show us your mighty power. Come to rescue us!
3Turn us again to yourself, O God. Make your face shine down upon us. Only then will we be saved.
4O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies, how long will you be angry with our prayers?
5You have fed us with sorrow and made us drink tears by the bucketful.
6You have made us the scorn of neighboring nations. Our enemies treat us as a joke.
7Turn us again to yourself, O God of Heaven’s Armies. Make your face shine down upon us. Only then will we be saved.
8You brought us from Egypt like a grapevine; you drove away the pagan nations and transplanted us into your land.
9You cleared the ground for us, and we took root and filled the land.
10Our shade covered the mountains; our branches covered the mighty cedars.
