Psalms 77:1-13
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 77
1 My voice rises to God, and I will cry aloud; My voice rises to God, and He will listen to me. 2In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord; In the night my hand was stretched out and did not grow weary; My soul refused to be comforted. 3 When I remember God, then I am restless; When I sigh, then my spirit feels weak. Selah 4You have held my eyelids open; I am so troubled that I cannot speak. 5I have considered the days of old, The years of long ago. 6I will remember my song in the night; I will meditate with my heart, And my spirit ponders: 7Will the Lord reject forever? And will He never be favorable again? 8Has His favor ceased forever? Has His promise come to an end forever? 9Has God forgotten to be gracious, Or has He in anger withdrawn His compassion? Selah 10Then I said, 'It is my grief, That the right hand of the Most High has changed.' 11I shall remember the deeds of the Lord; I will certainly remember Your wonders of old. 12I will meditate on all Your work, And on Your deeds with thanksgiving. 13Your way, God, is holy; What god is great like our God?King James Version
Chapter 77
1{To the chief Musician, to Jeduthun, A Psalm of Asaph.} I cried unto God with my voice, even unto God with my voice; and he gave ear unto me. 2In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord: my sore ran in the night, and ceased not: my soul refused to be comforted. 3I remembered God, and was troubled: I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed. Selah. 4Thou holdest mine eyes waking: I am so troubled that I cannot speak. 5I have considered the days of old, the years of ancient times. 6I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine own heart: and my spirit made diligent search. 7Will the Lord cast off for ever? and will he be favourable no more? 8Is his mercy clean gone for ever? doth his promise fail for evermore? 9Hath God forgotten to be gracious? hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies? Selah. 10And I said, This is my infirmity: but I will remember the years of the right hand of the most High.Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 77
1I cry aloud to God, aloud to God, and he will hear me. 2I sought the Lord in my day of trouble. My hands were continually lifted up all night long; I refused to be comforted.
3I think of God; I groan; I meditate; my spirit becomes weak. Selah
4You have kept me from closing my eyes; I am troubled and cannot speak.
5I consider days of old, years long past.
6At night I remember my music; I meditate in my heart, and my spirit ponders.
7"Will the Lord reject forever and never again show favor?
8Has his faithful love ceased forever? Is his promise at an end for all generations?
New Living Translation
Chapter 77
1I cry out to God; yes, I shout. Oh, that God would listen to me! 2When I was in deep trouble, I searched for the Lord. All night long I prayed, with hands lifted toward heaven, but my soul was not comforted.
4You don’t let me sleep. I am too distressed even to pray!
5I think of the good old days, long since ended,
6when my nights were filled with joyful songs. I search my soul and ponder the difference now.
7Has the Lord rejected me forever? Will he never again be kind to me?
8Is his unfailing love gone forever? Have his promises permanently failed?

Chapter 77
1To the choirmaster: according to Jeduthun. A Psalm of Asaph. I cry aloud to God, aloud to God, and he will hear me. 2In the day of my trouble I seek the Lord; in the night my hand is stretched out without wearying; my soul refuses to be comforted. 3When I remember God, I moan; when I meditate, my spirit faints. Selah 4You hold my eyelids open; I am so troubled that I cannot speak. 5I consider the days of old, the years long ago. 6I said, “Let me remember my song in the night; let me meditate in my heart.” Then my spirit made a diligent search: 7“Will the Lord spurn forever, and never again be favorable? 8Has his steadfast love forever ceased? Are his promises at an end for all time? 9Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has he in anger shut up his compassion?” Selah 10Then I said, “I will appeal to this, to the years of the right hand of the Most High.” 11I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your wonders of old. 12I will ponder all your work, and meditate on your mighty deeds. 13Your way, O God, is holy. What god is great like our God?New International Version
2When I was in distress, I sought the Lord; at night I stretched out untiring hands, and I would not be comforted.
3I remembered you, God, and I groaned; I meditated, and my spirit grew faint.
4You kept my eyes from closing; I was too troubled to speak.
5I thought about the former days, the years of long ago;
6I remembered my songs in the night. My heart meditated and my spirit asked:
7Will the Lord reject forever? Will he never show his favor again?
8Has his unfailing love vanished forever? Has his promise failed for all time?

1{To the Chief Musician. To Jeduthun. A Psalm of Asaph.} I cried out to God with my voice— To God with my voice; And He gave ear to me. 2In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord; My hand was stretched out in the night without ceasing; My soul refused to be comforted.
4You hold my eyelids open; I am so troubled that I cannot speak.
5I have considered the days of old, The years of ancient times.
6I call to remembrance my song in the night; I meditate within my heart, And my spirit makes diligent search.
7Will the Lord cast off forever? And will He be favorable no more?
8Has His mercy ceased forever? Has His promise failed forevermore?
10And I said, “This is my anguish; But I will remember the years of the right hand of the Most High.”
11I will remember the works of the Lord; Surely I will remember Your wonders of old.
12I will also meditate on all Your work, And talk of Your deeds.
13Your way, O God, is in the sanctuary; Who is so great a God as our God?
