Chapter 7

6Arise, Lord, in Your anger; Raise Yourself against the rage of my enemies, And stir Yourself for me; You have ordered judgment. 7Let the assembly of the peoples encompass You, And return on high over it. 8The Lord judges the peoples; Vindicate me, Lord, according to my righteousness and my integrity that is in me. 9Please let the evil of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous; For the righteous God puts hearts and minds to the test. 10My shield is with God, Who saves the upright in heart. 11God is a righteous judge, And a God who shows indignation every day. 12If one does not repent, He will sharpen His sword; He has bent His bow and taken aim. 13He has also prepared deadly weapons for Himself; He makes His arrows fiery shafts. 14Behold, an evil person is pregnant with injustice, And he conceives harm and gives birth to lies. 15He has dug a pit and hollowed it out, And has fallen into the hole which he made. 16His harm will return on his own head, And his violence will descend on the top of his own head. 17I will give thanks to the Lord according to His righteousness And will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High.

Chapter 7

6Arise, O Lord, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that thou hast commanded.
7So shall the congregation of the people compass thee about: for their sakes therefore return thou on high.
8The Lord shall judge the people: judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me.
9Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.
10My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart.
11God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.
12If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready.
13He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he ordaineth his arrows against the persecutors.
14Behold, he travaileth with iniquity, and hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.
15He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made.
16His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate.
17I will praise the Lord according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the Lord most high.

11God is a righteous judge and a God who shows his wrath every day. 12If anyone does not repent, he will sharpen his sword; he has strung his bow and made it ready.
13He has prepared his deadly weapons; he tips his arrows with fire. 14See, the wicked one is pregnant with evil, conceives trouble, and gives birth to deceit. 15He dug a pit and hollowed it out but fell into the hole he had made.
16His trouble comes back on his own head; his own violence comes down on top of his head. 17I will thank the Lord for his righteousness; I will sing about the name of the Lord Most High.

Chapter 7

6Arise, O Lord, in anger! Stand up against the fury of my enemies! Wake up, my God, and bring justice! 7Gather the nations before you. Rule over them from on high. 8The Lord judges the nations. Declare me righteous, O Lord, for I am innocent, O Most High! 9End the evil of those who are wicked, and defend the righteous. For you look deep within the mind and heart, O righteous God.
10God is my shield, saving those whose hearts are true and right. 11God is an honest judge. He is angry with the wicked every day.
12If a person does not repent, God will sharpen his sword; he will bend and string his bow. 13He will prepare his deadly weapons and shoot his flaming arrows.
14The wicked conceive evil; they are pregnant with trouble and give birth to lies. 15They dig a deep pit to trap others, then fall into it themselves. 16The trouble they make for others backfires on them. The violence they plan falls on their own heads.
17I will thank the Lord because he is just; I will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High.
