Chapter 40

13Be pleased, Lord, to rescue me; Hurry, Lord, to help me. 14May those be ashamed and humiliated together Who seek my life to destroy it; May those be turned back and dishonored Who delight in my hurt. 15May those be appalled because of their shame Who say to me, 'Aha, aha!'

13Be pleased, O Lord, to deliver me: O Lord, make haste to help me.
14Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil.
15Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame that say unto me, Aha, aha.

13 Lord, be pleased to rescue me; hurry to help me, Lord. 14Let those who intend to take my life be disgraced and confounded. Let those who wish me harm be turned back and humiliated.
