Chapter 35

7For they hid their net for me without cause; Without cause they dug a pit for my soul. 8Let destruction come upon him when he is unaware, And let the net which he hid catch him; Let him fall into that very destruction. 9So my soul shall rejoice in the Lord; It shall rejoice in His salvation.

7For without cause have they hid for me their net in a pit, which without cause they have digged for my soul.
8Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall.
9And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord: it shall rejoice in his salvation.

7I did them no wrong, but they laid a trap for me. I did them no wrong, but they dug a pit to catch me. 8So let sudden ruin come upon them! Let them be caught in the trap they set for me! Let them be destroyed in the pit they dug for me.
9Then I will rejoice in the Lord. I will be glad because he rescues me.

7Since they hid their net for me without cause and without cause dug a pit for me, 8may ruin overtake them by surprise— may the net they hid entangle them, may they fall into the pit, to their ruin. 9Then my soul will rejoice in the Lord and delight in his salvation.
