Let me not be put to shame,
Lord
, for I call upon You;
Let the wicked be put to shame, let them be silent in Sheol.

Let the lying lips be speechless,
Which speak arrogantly against the righteous
With pride and contempt.

Let me not be ashamed, O LORD; for I have called upon thee: let the wicked be ashamed,

let them be silent in the grave.

Let the lying lips be put to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.

Don’t let me be disgraced, O
Lord
,
for I call out to you for help.
Let the wicked be disgraced;
let them lie silent in the grave.

Silence their lying lips —
those proud and arrogant lips that accuse the godly.
