Psalms 147:1-11
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 147
1 Praise the Lord! For it is good to sing praises to our God; For it is pleasant and praise is beautiful. 2The Lord builds up Jerusalem; He gathers the outcasts of Israel. 3He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds. 4He counts the number of the stars; He gives names to all of them. 5Great is our Lord and abundant in strength; His understanding is infinite. 6The Lord supports the afflicted; He brings the wicked down to the ground. 7Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving; Sing praises to our God on the lyre; 8 It is He who covers the heavens with clouds, Who provides rain for the earth, Who makes grass sprout on the mountains. 9 It is He who gives an animal its food, And feeds young ravens that cry. 10He does not delight in the strength of the horse; He does not take pleasure in the legs of a man. 11The Lord favors those who fear Him, Those who wait for His faithfulness.King James Version
Chapter 147
1Praise ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely. 2The LORD doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth together the outcasts of Israel. 3He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds. 4He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names. 5Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite. 6The LORD lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down to the ground. 7Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God: 8Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains. 9He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry. 10He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man. 11The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.Christian Standard Bible

How good it is to sing to our God, for praise is pleasant and lovely. 2The Lord rebuilds Jerusalem; he gathers Israel's exiled people. 3He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds. 4He counts the number of the stars; he gives names to all of them. 5Our Lord is great, vast in power; his understanding is infinite.
6The Lord helps the oppressed but brings the wicked to the ground.
7Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving; play the lyre to our God,

How delightful and how fitting! 2The Lord is rebuilding Jerusalem and bringing the exiles back to Israel. 3He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds. 4He counts the stars and calls them all by name. 5How great is our Lord! His power is absolute! His understanding is beyond comprehension! 6The Lord supports the humble, but he brings the wicked down into the dust.
7Sing out your thanks to the Lord; sing praises to our God with a harp.
8He covers the heavens with clouds, provides rain for the earth, and makes the grass grow in mountain pastures.

10He takes no pleasure in the strength of a horse or in human might.
11No, the Lord’s delight is in those who fear him, those who put their hope in his unfailing love.
