Chapter 132
1Remember, Lord, in David’s behalf, All his affliction; 2How he swore to the Lord And vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob, 3'I certainly will not enter my house, Nor lie on my bed; 4I will not give sleep to my eyes Or slumber to my eyelids, 5Until I find a place for the Lord, A dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.' 6Behold, we heard about it in Ephrathah, We found it in the field of Jaar. 7Let’s go into His dwelling place; Let’s worship at His footstool. 8Arise, Lord, to Your resting place, You and the ark of Your strength. 9May Your priests be clothed with righteousness, And may Your godly ones sing for joy. 10For the sake of Your servant David, Do not turn away the face of Your anointed. 11The Lord has sworn to David A truth from which He will not turn back: 'I will set upon your throne one from the fruit of your body. 12If your sons will keep My covenant And My testimony which I will teach them, Their sons also will sit upon your throne forever.' 13For the Lord has chosen Zion; He has desired it as His dwelling place. 14'This is My resting place forever; Here I will dwell, for I have desired it. 15I will abundantly bless her food; I will satisfy her needy with bread. 16I will also clothe her priests with salvation, And her godly ones will sing aloud for joy. 17I will make the horn of David spring forth there; I have prepared a lamp for My anointed. 18I will clothe his enemies with shame, But upon himself his crown will gleam.'King James Version
Chapter 132
1A Song of degrees. LORD, remember David, and all his afflictions: 2How he sware unto the LORD, and vowed unto the mighty God of Jacob; 3Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed; 4I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids, 5Until I find out a place for the LORD, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob. 6Lo, we heard of it at Ephratah: we found it in the fields of the wood. 7We will go into his tabernacles: we will worship at his footstool. 8Arise, O LORD, into thy rest; thou, and the ark of thy strength. 9Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy. 10For thy servant David's sake turn not away the face of thine anointed.
11The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.
12If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore.
13For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.
14This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.
15I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread.
16I will also clothe her priests with salvation: and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.
17There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.
18His enemies will I clothe with shame: but upon himself shall his crown flourish.

Chapter 132
1Lord, remember David and all the hardships he endured, 2and how he swore an oath to the Lord, making a vow to the Mighty One of Jacob: 3"I will not enter my house or get into my bed, 4I will not allow my eyes to sleep or my eyelids to slumber
5until I find a place for the Lord, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob."
6We heard of the ark in Ephrathah; we found it in the fields of Jaar.
7Let's go to his dwelling place; let's worship at his footstool.
8Rise up, Lord, come to your resting place, you and your powerful ark.
9May your priests be clothed with righteousness, and may your faithful people shout for joy.
10For the sake of your servant David, do not reject your anointed one.
11The Lord swore an oath to David, a promise he will not abandon: "I will set one of your offspring on your throne.
12If your sons keep my covenant and my decrees that I will teach them, their sons will also sit on your throne forever."
13For the Lord has chosen Zion; he has desired it for his home:
14"This is my resting place forever; I will make my home here because I have desired it.
15I will abundantly bless its food; I will satisfy its needy with bread.
16I will clothe its priests with salvation, and its faithful people will shout for joy.
17There I will make a horn grow for David; I have prepared a lamp for my anointed one.
18I will clothe his enemies with shame, but the crown he wears will be glorious."

Chapter 132
1Lord, remember David and all that he suffered. 2He made a solemn promise to the Lord. He vowed to the Mighty One of Israel, 3'I will not go home; I will not let myself rest. 4I will not let my eyes sleep nor close my eyelids in slumber 5until I find a place to build a house for the Lord, a sanctuary for the Mighty One of Israel.'
6We heard that the Ark was in Ephrathah; then we found it in the distant countryside of Jaar.
7Let us go to the sanctuary of the Lord; let us worship at the footstool of his throne.
8Arise, O Lord, and enter your resting place, along with the Ark, the symbol of your power.
9May your priests be clothed in godliness; may your loyal servants sing for joy.
10For the sake of your servant David, do not reject the king you have anointed.
11The Lord swore an oath to David with a promise he will never take back: 'I will place one of your descendants on your throne.
12If your descendants obey the terms of my covenant and the laws that I teach them, then your royal line will continue forever and ever.'
13For the Lord has chosen Jerusalem ; he has desired it for his home.
14'This is my resting place forever,' he said. 'I will live here, for this is the home I desired.
15I will bless this city and make it prosperous; I will satisfy its poor with food.
16I will clothe its priests with godliness; its faithful servants will sing for joy.
17Here I will increase the power of David; my anointed one will be a light for my people.
18I will clothe his enemies with shame, but he will be a glorious king.'

Chapter 132
1A song of ascents. LORD, remember David and all his self-denial. 2He swore an oath to the LORD, he made a vow to the Mighty One of Jacob: 3I will not enter my house or go to my bed, 4I will allow no sleep to my eyes or slumber to my eyelids,
5till I find a place for the LORD, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.'

10For the sake of your servant David, do not reject your anointed one.
11The LORD swore an oath to David, a sure oath he will not revoke: 'One of your own descendants I will place on your throne.
12If your sons keep my covenant and the statutes I teach them, then their sons will sit on your throne for ever and ever.'
13For the LORD has chosen Zion, he has desired it for his dwelling, saying,
14This is my resting place for ever and ever; here I will sit enthroned, for I have desired it.
15I will bless her with abundant provisions; her poor I will satisfy with food.
