Chapter 132

4I will not give sleep to my eyes Or slumber to my eyelids, 5Until I find a place for the Lord, A dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.' 6Behold, we heard about it in Ephrathah, We found it in the field of Jaar. 7Let’s go into His dwelling place; Let’s worship at His footstool. 8Arise, Lord, to Your resting place, You and the ark of Your strength. 9May Your priests be clothed with righteousness, And may Your godly ones sing for joy. 10For the sake of Your servant David, Do not turn away the face of Your anointed.

4I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids,
5Until I find out a place for the Lord, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.
6Lo, we heard of it at Ephratah: we found it in the fields of the wood.
7We will go into his tabernacles: we will worship at his footstool.
8Arise, O Lord, into thy rest; thou, and the ark of thy strength.
9Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy.
10For thy servant David's sake turn not away the face of thine anointed.

5until I find a place for the Lord, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob." 6We heard of the ark in Ephrathah; we found it in the fields of Jaar. 7Let us go to his dwelling place; let us worship at his footstool. 8Rise up, Lord, come to your resting place, you and your powerful ark. 9May your priests be clothed with righteousness, and may your faithful people shout for joy.
10For the sake of your servant David, do not reject your anointed one.

4I will not let my eyes sleep nor close my eyelids in slumber 5until I find a place to build a house for the Lord, a sanctuary for the Mighty One of Israel.'
6We heard that the Ark was in Ephrathah; then we found it in the distant countryside of Jaar. 7Let us go to the sanctuary of the Lord; let us worship at the footstool of his throne. 8Arise, O Lord, and enter your resting place, along with the Ark, the symbol of your power. 9May your priests be clothed in godliness; may your loyal servants sing for joy. 10For the sake of your servant David, do not reject the king you have anointed.
