Chapter 119
33Teach me, the way of Your statutes, Lord, And I shall comply with it to the end. 34Give me understanding, so that I may comply with Your Law And keep it with all my heart. 35Make me walk in the path of Your commandments, For I delight in it. 36Incline my heart to Your testimonies, And not to dishonest gain. 37Turn my eyes away from looking at what is worthless, And revive me in Your ways. 38Establish Your word to Your servant As that which produces reverence for You. 39Take away my disgrace which I dread, For Your judgments are good. 40Behold, I long for Your precepts; Revive me through Your righteousness. 41May Your favor also come to me, Lord, Your salvation according to Your word; 42So that I will have an answer for one who taunts me, For I trust in Your word. 43And do not take the word of truth utterly out of my mouth, For I wait for Your judgments. 44So I will keep Your Law continually, Forever and ever. 45And I will walk at liberty, For I seek Your precepts. 46I will also speak of Your testimonies before kings And shall not be ashamed. 47I will delight in Your commandments, Which I love. 48And I shall lift up my hands to Your commandments, Which I love; And I will meditate on Your statutes. 49Remember the word to Your servant, In which You have made me hope. 50This is my comfort in my misery, That Your word has revived me. 51The arrogant utterly deride me, Yet I do not turn aside from Your Law. 52I have remembered Your judgments from of old, Lord, And comfort myself. 53Burning indignation has seized me because of the wicked, Who abandon Your Law. 54Your statutes are my songs In the house of my pilgrimage. 55Lord, I remember Your name in the night, And keep Your Law. 56This has become mine, That I comply with Your precepts. 57The Lord is my portion; I have promised to keep Your words. 58I sought Your favor with all my heart; Be gracious to me according to Your word. 59I considered my ways And turned my feet to Your testimonies. 60I hurried and did not delay To keep Your commandments. 61The snares of the wicked have surrounded me, But I have not forgotten Your Law. 62At midnight I will rise to give thanks to You Because of Your righteous judgments. 63I am a companion to all those who fear You, And to those who keep Your precepts. 64The earth is full of Your goodness, Lord; Teach me Your statutes. 65You have treated Your servant well, Lord, according to Your word. 66Teach me good discernment and knowledge, For I believe in Your commandments. 67Before I was afflicted I went astray, But now I keep Your word. 68You are good and You do good; Teach me Your statutes. 69The arrogant have forged a lie against me; With all my heart I will comply with Your precepts. 70Their heart is insensitive, like fat, But I delight in Your Law. 71It is good for me that I was afflicted, So that I may learn Your statutes. 72The Law of Your mouth is better to me Than thousands of gold and silver pieces. 73Your hands made me and fashioned me; Give me understanding, so that I may learn Your commandments. 74May those who fear You see me and be glad, Because I wait for Your word. 75I know, Lord, that Your judgments are righteous, And that You have afflicted me in faithfulness. 76May Your favor comfort me, According to Your word to Your servant. 77May Your compassion come to me so that I may live, For Your Law is my delight. 78May the arrogant be put to shame, because they lead me astray with a lie; But I shall meditate on Your precepts. 79May those who fear You turn to me, And those who know Your testimonies. 80May my heart be blameless in Your statutes, So that I will not be ashamed. 81My soul languishes for Your salvation; I wait for Your word. 82My eyes fail with longing for Your word, While I say, 'When will You comfort me?' 83Though I have become like a wineskin in the smoke, I do not forget Your statutes. 84How many are the days of Your servant? When will You execute judgment on those who persecute me? 85The arrogant have dug pits for me, People who are not in accord with Your Law. 86All Your commandments are faithful; They have persecuted me with a lie; help me! 87They almost destroyed me on earth, But as for me, I did not abandon Your precepts. 88Revive me according to Your faithfulness, So that I may keep the testimony of Your mouth. 89Forever, Lord, Your word stands in heaven. 90Your faithfulness continues throughout generations; You established the earth, and it stands. 91They stand this day by Your ordinances, For all things are Your servants. 92If Your Law had not been my delight, Then I would have perished in my misery. 93I will never forget Your precepts, For by them You have revived me. 94I am Yours, save me; For I have sought Your precepts. 95The wicked wait for me to destroy me; I will diligently consider Your testimonies. 96I have seen a limit to all perfection; Your commandment is exceedingly broad. 97How I love Your Law! It is my meditation all the day. 98Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies, For they are ever mine. 99I have more insight than all my teachers, For Your testimonies are my meditation. 100I understand more than those who are old, Because I have complied with Your precepts. 101I have restrained my feet from every evil way, So that I may keep Your word. 102I have not turned aside from Your judgments, For You Yourself have taught me. 103How sweet are Your words to my taste! Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth! 104From Your precepts I get understanding; Therefore I hate every false way. 105Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path. 106I have sworn and I will confirm it, That I will keep Your righteous judgments. 107I am exceedingly afflicted; Revive me, Lord, according to Your word. 108Be pleased to accept the voluntary offerings of my mouth, Lord, And teach me Your judgments. 109My life is continually in my hand, Yet I do not forget Your Law. 110The wicked have set a trap for me, Yet I have not wandered from Your precepts. 111I have inherited Your testimonies forever, For they are the joy of my heart. 112I have inclined my heart to perform Your statutes Forever, even to the end. 113I hate those who are double-minded, But I love Your Law. 114You are my hiding place and my shield; I wait for Your word. 115Leave me, you evildoers, So that I may comply with the commandments of my God. 116Sustain me according to Your word, that I may live; And do not let me be ashamed of my hope. 117Sustain me so that I may be safe, That I may have regard for Your statutes continually. 118You have rejected all those who stray from Your statutes, For their deceitfulness is useless. 119You have removed all the wicked of the earth like impurities; Therefore I love Your testimonies. 120My flesh trembles from the fear of You, And I am afraid of Your judgments. 121I have done justice and righteousness; Do not leave me to my oppressors. 122Be a guarantor for Your servant for good; Do not let the arrogant oppress me. 123My eyes fail with longing for Your salvation, And for Your righteous word. 124Deal with Your servant according to Your graciousness, And teach me Your statutes. 125I am Your servant; give me understanding, So that I may know Your testimonies. 126It is time for the Lord to act, For they have broken Your Law. 127Therefore I love Your commandments Above gold, yes, above pure gold. 128Therefore I carefully follow all Your precepts concerning everything, I hate every false way. 129Your testimonies are wonderful; Therefore my soul complies with them. 130The unfolding of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple. 131I opened my mouth wide and panted, For I longed for Your commandments. 132Turn to me and be gracious to me, As is right for those who love Your name. 133Establish my footsteps in Your word, And do not let any wrongdoing have power over me. 134Redeem me from oppression by man, So that I may keep Your precepts. 135Make Your face shine upon Your servant, And teach me Your statutes. 136My eyes shed streams of water, Because they do not keep Your Law. 137You are righteous, Lord, And Your judgments are right. 138You have commanded Your testimonies in righteousness And great faithfulness.King James Version
Chapter 119
33HE. Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end. 34Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.
35Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight.
36Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.
41VAU. Let thy mercies come also unto me, O LORD, even thy salvation, according to thy word.
42So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word.
43And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments.
44So shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever.
45And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts.
46I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed.
47And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved.
48My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes.
55I have remembered thy name, O LORD, in the night, and have kept thy law.
56This I had, because I kept thy precepts.
59I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies.
60I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.
65TETH. Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O LORD, according unto thy word.
66Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments.
69The proud have forged a lie against me: but I will keep thy precepts with my whole heart.
70Their heart is as fat as grease; but I delight in thy law.
76Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant.
77Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live: for thy law is my delight.
78Let the proud be ashamed; for they dealt perversely with me without a cause: but I will meditate in thy precepts.
79Let those that fear thee turn unto me, and those that have known thy testimonies.
81CAPH. My soul fainteth for thy salvation: but I hope in thy word.
82Mine eyes fail for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?
85The proud have digged pits for me, which are not after thy law.
86All thy commandments are faithful: they persecute me wrongfully; help thou me.
87They had almost consumed me upon earth; but I forsook not thy precepts.
89LAMED. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
90Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.
91They continue this day according to thine ordinances: for all are thy servants.
98Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.
99I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.
100I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.
103How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
104Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.
109My soul is continually in my hand: yet do I not forget thy law.
110The wicked have laid a snare for me: yet I erred not from thy precepts.
111Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart.
112I have inclined mine heart to perform thy statutes alway, even unto the end.
116Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live: and let me not be ashamed of my hope.
117Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe: and I will have respect unto thy statutes continually.
118Thou hast trodden down all them that err from thy statutes: for their deceit is falsehood.
119Thou puttest away all the wicked of the earth like dross: therefore I love thy testimonies.
120My flesh trembleth for fear of thee; and I am afraid of thy judgments.
121AIN. I have done judgment and justice: leave me not to mine oppressors.
122Be surety for thy servant for good: let not the proud oppress me.
124Deal with thy servant according unto thy mercy, and teach me thy statutes.

33Teach me, Lord, the meaning of your statutes, and I will always keep them. 34Help me understand your instruction, and I will obey it and follow it with all my heart. 35Help me stay on the path of your commands, for I take pleasure in it. 36Turn my heart to your decrees and not to dishonest profit. 37Turn my eyes from looking at what is worthless; give me life in your ways. 38Confirm what you said to your servant, for it produces reverence for you. 39Turn away the disgrace I dread; indeed, your judgments are good. 40How I long for your precepts! Chapter 119
33Teach me your decrees, O Lord; I will keep them to the end. 34Give me understanding and I will obey your instructions; I will put them into practice with all my heart. 35Make me walk along the path of your commands, for that is where my happiness is found. 36Give me an eagerness for your laws rather than a love for money! 37Turn my eyes from worthless things, and give me life through your word. 38Reassure me of your promise, made to those who fear you. 39Help me abandon my shameful ways; for your regulations are good. 40I long to obey your commandments! Renew my life with your goodness.
41Lord, give me your unfailing love, the salvation that you promised me.
42Then I can answer those who taunt me, for I trust in your word.
43Do not snatch your word of truth from me, for your regulations are my only hope.
44I will keep on obeying your instructions forever and ever.
45I will walk in freedom, for I have devoted myself to your commandments.
46I will speak to kings about your laws, and I will not be ashamed.

110The wicked have set their traps for me, but I will not turn from your commandments.
111Your laws are my treasure; they are my heart’s delight.

113I hate those with divided loyalties, but I love your instructions.
114You are my refuge and my shield; your word is my source of hope.
115Get out of my life, you evil-minded people, for I intend to obey the commands of my God.

117Sustain me, and I will be rescued; then I will meditate continually on your decrees.
118But you have rejected all who stray from your decrees. They are only fooling themselves.
119You skim off the wicked of the earth like scum; no wonder I love to obey your laws!
120I tremble in fear of you; I stand in awe of your regulations.
121Don’t leave me to the mercy of my enemies, for I have done what is just and right.
122Please guarantee a blessing for me. Don’t let the arrogant oppress me!
123My eyes strain to see your rescue, to see the truth of your promise fulfilled.
124I am your servant; deal with me in unfailing love, and teach me your decrees.
125Give discernment to me, your servant; then I will understand your laws.
126Lord, it is time for you to act, for these evil people have violated your instructions.
127Truly, I love your commands more than gold, even the finest gold.
128Each of your commandments is right. That is why I hate every false way.
129Your laws are wonderful. No wonder I obey them!
130The teaching of your word gives light, so even the simple can understand.
131I pant with expectation, longing for your commands.

134Ransom me from the oppression of evil people; then I can obey your commandments.

33Teach me, O LORD, the way of your statutes; and I will keep it to the end. 34Give me understanding, that I may keep your law and observe it with my whole heart. 35Lead me in the path of your commandments, for I delight in it. 36Incline my heart to your testimonies, and not to selfish gain! 37Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things; and give me life in your ways. 38Confirm to your servant your promise, that you may be feared. 39Turn away the reproach that I dread, for your rules are good. 40Behold, I long for your precepts; in your righteousness give me life!
41Let your steadfast love come to me, O LORD, your salvation according to your promise;
42then shall I have an answer for him who taunts me, for I trust in your word.

33Teach me, LORD, the way of your decrees, that I may follow it to the end. 34Give me understanding, so that I may keep your law and obey it with all my heart. 35Direct me in the path of your commands, for there I find delight. 36Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain. 37Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to your word. 38Fulfill your promise to your servant, so that you may be feared. 39Take away the disgrace I dread, for your laws are good. 40How I long for your precepts!
