Chapter 119
95The wicked wait for me to destroy me; I will diligently consider Your testimonies. 96I have seen a limit to all perfection; Your commandment is exceedingly broad. 97How I love Your Law! It is my meditation all the day. 98Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies, For they are ever mine. 99I have more insight than all my teachers, For Your testimonies are my meditation. 100I understand more than those who are old, Because I have complied with Your precepts. 101I have restrained my feet from every evil way, So that I may keep Your word. 102I have not turned aside from Your judgments, For You Yourself have taught me. 103How sweet are Your words to my taste! Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth! 104From Your precepts I get understanding; Therefore I hate every false way. 105Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path. 106I have sworn and I will confirm it, That I will keep Your righteous judgments. 107I am exceedingly afflicted; Revive me, Lord, according to Your word. 108Be pleased to accept the voluntary offerings of my mouth, Lord, And teach me Your judgments. 109My life is continually in my hand, Yet I do not forget Your Law. 110The wicked have set a trap for me, Yet I have not wandered from Your precepts. 111I have inherited Your testimonies forever, For they are the joy of my heart. 112I have inclined my heart to perform Your statutes Forever, even to the end. 113I hate those who are double-minded, But I love Your Law. 114You are my hiding place and my shield; I wait for Your word. 115Leave me, you evildoers, So that I may comply with the commandments of my God. 116Sustain me according to Your word, that I may live; And do not let me be ashamed of my hope.King James Version

95The wicked hope to destroy me, but I contemplate your decrees. 96I have seen a limit to all perfection, but your command is without limit. 97How I love your instruction! It is my meditation all day long. 98Your commands make me wiser than my enemies, for they are always with me. 99I have more insight than all my teachers because your decrees are my meditation. 100I understand more than the elders because I obey your precepts. 101I have kept my feet from every evil path to follow your word. 102I have not turned from your judgments, for you yourself have instructed me. 103How sweet your word is to my taste— sweeter than honey in my mouth. 104I gain understanding from your precepts; therefore I hate every false way. 105Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path. 106I have solemnly sworn to keep your righteous judgments. 107I am severely afflicted; Lord, give me life according to your word. 108 Lord, please accept my freewill offerings of praise, and teach me your judgments. 109My life is constantly in danger, yet I do not forget your instruction. 110The wicked have set a trap for me, but I have not wandered from your precepts. 111I have your decrees as a heritage forever; indeed, they are the joy of my heart. 112I am resolved to obey your statutes to the very end. 113I hate those who are double-minded, but I love your instruction. 114You are my shelter and my shield; I put my hope in your word. 115Depart from me, you evil ones, so that I may obey my God’s commands. 116Sustain me as you promised, and I will live; do not let me be ashamed of my hope.New Living Translation
Chapter 119
95Though the wicked hide along the way to kill me, I will quietly keep my mind on your laws. 96Even perfection has its limits, but your commands have no limit.
97Oh, how I love your instructions! I think about them all day long.
98Your commands make me wiser than my enemies, for they are my constant guide.
99Yes, I have more insight than my teachers, for I am always thinking of your laws.
100I am even wiser than my elders, for I have kept your commandments.
101I have refused to walk on any evil path, so that I may remain obedient to your word.
102I haven’t turned away from your regulations, for you have taught me well.
103How sweet your words taste to me; they are sweeter than honey.
104Your commandments give me understanding; no wonder I hate every false way of life.
105Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.
106I’ve promised it once, and I’ll promise it again: I will obey your righteous regulations.
107I have suffered much, O Lord; restore my life again as you promised.
108Lord, accept my offering of praise, and teach me your regulations.
109My life constantly hangs in the balance, but I will not stop obeying your instructions.
110The wicked have set their traps for me, but I will not turn from your commandments.
111Your laws are my treasure; they are my heart’s delight.
112I am determined to keep your decrees to the very end.
113I hate those with divided loyalties, but I love your instructions.
114You are my refuge and my shield; your word is my source of hope.
115Get out of my life, you evil-minded people, for I intend to obey the commands of my God.
