Chapter 119
29Remove the false way from me, And graciously grant me Your Law. 30I have chosen the faithful way; I have placed Your judgments before me. 31I cling to Your testimonies; Lord, do not put me to shame! 32I shall run the way of Your commandments, For You will enlarge my heart. 33Teach me, the way of Your statutes, Lord, And I shall comply with it to the end. 34Give me understanding, so that I may comply with Your Law And keep it with all my heart. 35Make me walk in the path of Your commandments, For I delight in it. 36Incline my heart to Your testimonies, And not to dishonest gain. 37Turn my eyes away from looking at what is worthless, And revive me in Your ways. 38Establish Your word to Your servant As that which produces reverence for You. 39Take away my disgrace which I dread, For Your judgments are good. 40Behold, I long for Your precepts; Revive me through Your righteousness. 41May Your favor also come to me, Lord, Your salvation according to Your word; 42So that I will have an answer for one who taunts me, For I trust in Your word. 43And do not take the word of truth utterly out of my mouth, For I wait for Your judgments. 44So I will keep Your Law continually, Forever and ever. 45And I will walk at liberty, For I seek Your precepts. 46I will also speak of Your testimonies before kings And shall not be ashamed. 47I will delight in Your commandments, Which I love. 48And I shall lift up my hands to Your commandments, Which I love; And I will meditate on Your statutes. 49Remember the word to Your servant, In which You have made me hope. 50This is my comfort in my misery, That Your word has revived me. 51The arrogant utterly deride me, Yet I do not turn aside from Your Law. 52I have remembered Your judgments from of old, Lord, And comfort myself. 53Burning indignation has seized me because of the wicked, Who abandon Your Law. 54Your statutes are my songs In the house of my pilgrimage. 55Lord, I remember Your name in the night, And keep Your Law. 56This has become mine, That I comply with Your precepts. 57The Lord is my portion; I have promised to keep Your words. 58I sought Your favor with all my heart; Be gracious to me according to Your word. 59I considered my ways And turned my feet to Your testimonies. 60I hurried and did not delay To keep Your commandments. 61The snares of the wicked have surrounded me, But I have not forgotten Your Law. 62At midnight I will rise to give thanks to You Because of Your righteous judgments. 63I am a companion to all those who fear You, And to those who keep Your precepts. 64The earth is full of Your goodness, Lord; Teach me Your statutes. 65You have treated Your servant well, Lord, according to Your word. 66Teach me good discernment and knowledge, For I believe in Your commandments. 67Before I was afflicted I went astray, But now I keep Your word. 68You are good and You do good; Teach me Your statutes. 69The arrogant have forged a lie against me; With all my heart I will comply with Your precepts. 70Their heart is insensitive, like fat, But I delight in Your Law. 71It is good for me that I was afflicted, So that I may learn Your statutes. 72The Law of Your mouth is better to me Than thousands of gold and silver pieces. 73Your hands made me and fashioned me; Give me understanding, so that I may learn Your commandments. 74May those who fear You see me and be glad, Because I wait for Your word. 75I know, Lord, that Your judgments are righteous, And that You have afflicted me in faithfulness. 76May Your favor comfort me, According to Your word to Your servant. 77May Your compassion come to me so that I may live, For Your Law is my delight. 78May the arrogant be put to shame, because they lead me astray with a lie; But I shall meditate on Your precepts. 79May those who fear You turn to me, And those who know Your testimonies. 80May my heart be blameless in Your statutes, So that I will not be ashamed. 81My soul languishes for Your salvation; I wait for Your word. 82My eyes fail with longing for Your word, While I say, 'When will You comfort me?' 83Though I have become like a wineskin in the smoke, I do not forget Your statutes. 84How many are the days of Your servant? When will You execute judgment on those who persecute me? 85The arrogant have dug pits for me, People who are not in accord with Your Law. 86All Your commandments are faithful; They have persecuted me with a lie; help me! 87They almost destroyed me on earth, But as for me, I did not abandon Your precepts. 88Revive me according to Your faithfulness, So that I may keep the testimony of Your mouth. 89Forever, Lord, Your word stands in heaven. 90Your faithfulness continues throughout generations; You established the earth, and it stands. 91They stand this day by Your ordinances, For all things are Your servants. 92If Your Law had not been my delight, Then I would have perished in my misery. 93I will never forget Your precepts, For by them You have revived me. 94I am Yours, save me; For I have sought Your precepts. 95The wicked wait for me to destroy me; I will diligently consider Your testimonies. 96I have seen a limit to all perfection; Your commandment is exceedingly broad. 97How I love Your Law! It is my meditation all the day. 98Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies, For they are ever mine. 99I have more insight than all my teachers, For Your testimonies are my meditation. 100I understand more than those who are old, Because I have complied with Your precepts. 101I have restrained my feet from every evil way, So that I may keep Your word. 102I have not turned aside from Your judgments, For You Yourself have taught me. 103How sweet are Your words to my taste! Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth! 104From Your precepts I get understanding; Therefore I hate every false way. 105Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.King James Version
32I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart.
33HE. Teach me, O Lord, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end.
40Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: quicken me in thy righteousness.
41VAU. Let thy mercies come also unto me, O Lord, even thy salvation, according to thy word.
48My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes.
49ZAIN. Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.
56This I had, because I kept thy precepts.
57CHETH. Thou art my portion, O Lord: I have said that I would keep thy words.
64The earth, O Lord, is full of thy mercy: teach me thy statutes.
65TETH. Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O Lord, according unto thy word.
72The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.
73JOD. Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.
76Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant.
80Let my heart be sound in thy statutes; that I be not ashamed.
81CAPH. My soul fainteth for thy salvation: but I hope in thy word.
88Quicken me after thy lovingkindness; so shall I keep the testimony of thy mouth.
89LAMED. For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.

29Keep me from the way of deceit and graciously give me your instruction. 30I have chosen the way of truth; I have set your ordinances before me. 31I cling to your decrees; Lord, do not put me to shame. 32I pursue the way of your commands, for you broaden my understanding. 33Teach me, Lord, the meaning of your statutes, and I will always keep them. 34Help me understand your instruction, and I will obey it and follow it with all my heart. 35Help me stay on the path of your commands, for I take pleasure in it. 36Turn my heart to your decrees and not to dishonest profit. 37Turn my eyes from looking at what is worthless; give me life in your ways. 38Confirm what you said to your servant, for it produces reverence for you. 39Turn away the disgrace I dread; indeed, your judgments are good. 40How I long for your precepts! When will you execute judgment on my persecutors? 85The arrogant have dug pits for me; they violate your instruction. 86All your commands are true; people persecute me with lies—help me! 87They almost ended my life on earth, but I did not abandon your precepts. 88Give me life in accordance with your faithful love, and I will obey the decree you have spoken. 89 Lord, your word is forever; it is firmly fixed in heaven. 90Your faithfulness is for all generations; you established the earth, and it stands firm. 91Your judgments stand firm today, for all things are your servants. 92If your instruction had not been my delight, I would have died in my affliction. 93I will never forget your precepts, for you have given me life through them. 94I am yours; save me, for I have studied your precepts. 95The wicked hope to destroy me, but I contemplate your decrees. 96I have seen a limit to all perfection, but your command is without limit. 97How I love your instruction! Chapter 119
29Keep me from lying to myself; give me the privilege of knowing your instructions. 30I have chosen to be faithful; I have determined to live by your regulations. 31I cling to your laws. Lord, don’t let me be put to shame! 32I will pursue your commands, for you expand my understanding.
33Teach me your decrees, O Lord; I will keep them to the end.
34Give me understanding and I will obey your instructions; I will put them into practice with all my heart.
35Make me walk along the path of your commands, for that is where my happiness is found.
36Give me an eagerness for your laws rather than a love for money!
37Turn my eyes from worthless things, and give me life through your word.
38Reassure me of your promise, made to those who fear you.
39Help me abandon my shameful ways; for your regulations are good.
40I long to obey your commandments! Renew my life with your goodness.
41Lord, give me your unfailing love, the salvation that you promised me.
42Then I can answer those who taunt me, for I trust in your word.
43Do not snatch your word of truth from me, for your regulations are my only hope.
44I will keep on obeying your instructions forever and ever.
45I will walk in freedom, for I have devoted myself to your commandments.
46I will speak to kings about your laws, and I will not be ashamed.
47How I delight in your commands! How I love them!
48I honor and love your commands. I meditate on your decrees.
49Remember your promise to me; it is my only hope.

51The proud hold me in utter contempt, but I do not turn away from your instructions.
52I meditate on your age-old regulations; O Lord, they comfort me.
53I become furious with the wicked, because they reject your instructions.
54Your decrees have been the theme of my songs wherever I have lived.
55I reflect at night on who you are, O Lord; therefore, I obey your instructions.
56This is how I spend my life: obeying your commandments.

58With all my heart I want your blessings. Be merciful as you promised.
59I pondered the direction of my life, and I turned to follow your laws.
60I will hurry, without delay, to obey your commands.
61Evil people try to drag me into sin, but I am firmly anchored to your instructions.

63I am a friend to anyone who fears you — anyone who obeys your commandments.
