Psalms 107:1-12
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 107
1Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, For His mercy is everlasting. 2The redeemed of the Lord shall say so, Those whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy 3And gathered from the lands, From the east and from the west, From the north and from the south. 4They wandered in the wilderness in a desert region; They did not find a way to an inhabited city. 5 They were hungry and thirsty; Their souls felt weak within them. 6Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble; He saved them from their distresses. 7He also had them walk on a straight way, To go to an inhabited city. 8They shall give thanks to the Lord for His mercy, And for His wonders to the sons of mankind! 9For He has satisfied the thirsty soul, And He has filled the hungry soul with what is good. 10There were those who lived in darkness and in the shadow of death, Prisoners in misery and chains, 11Because they had rebelled against the words of God And rejected the plan of the Most High. 12Therefore He humbled their heart with labor; They stumbled and there was no one to help.King James Version
Chapter 107
1O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. 2Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy; 3And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south. 4They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in. 5Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them. 6Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses. 7And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation. 8Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! 9For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 107
1Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his faithful love endures forever. 2Let the redeemed of the Lord proclaim that he has redeemed them from the power of the foe
3and has gathered them from the lands -- from the east and the west, from the north and the south.
4Some wandered in the desolate wilderness, finding no way to a city where they could live.
5They were hungry and thirsty; their spirits failed within them.
6Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble; he rescued them from their distress.
7He led them by the right path to go to a city where they could live.
8Let them give thanks to the Lord for his faithful love and his wondrous works for all humanity.
9For he has satisfied the thirsty and filled the hungry with good things.
10Others sat in darkness and gloom -- prisoners in cruel chains --
11because they rebelled against God's commands and despised the counsel of the Most High.
12He broke their spirits with hard labor; they stumbled, and there was no one to help.
New Living Translation
Chapter 107
1Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. 2Has the Lord redeemed you? Then speak out! Tell others he has redeemed you from your enemies. 3For he has gathered the exiles from many lands, from east and west, from north and south.
4Some wandered in the wilderness, lost and homeless.
5Hungry and thirsty, they nearly died.
6'Lord, help!' they cried in their trouble, and he rescued them from their distress.
7He led them straight to safety, to a city where they could live.
8Let them praise the Lord for his great love and for the wonderful things he has done for them.
9For he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.

Chapter 107
1Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever! 2Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he has redeemed from trouble 3and gathered in from the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south. 4Some wandered in desert wastes, finding no way to a city to dwell in; 5hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted within them. 6Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. 7He led them by a straight way till they reached a city to dwell in. 8Let them thank the LORD for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of man! 9For he satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul he fills with good things. 10Some sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, prisoners in affliction and in irons, 11for they had rebelled against the words of God, and spurned the counsel of the Most High. 12So he bowed their hearts down with hard labor; they fell down, with none to help.New International Version
Chapter 107
1Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. 2Let the redeemed of the LORD tell their story-- those he redeemed from the hand of the foe,
3those he gathered from the lands, from east and west, from north and south.
4Some wandered in desert wastelands, finding no way to a city where they could settle.
5They were hungry and thirsty, and their lives ebbed away.
6Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress.
7He led them by a straight way to a city where they could settle.
8Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind,
9for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.
10Some sat in darkness, in utter darkness, prisoners suffering in iron chains,
11because they rebelled against God's commands and despised the plans of the Most High.
12So he subjected them to bitter labor; they stumbled, and there was no one to help.
