Psalms 106:34-41
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 106
34They did not destroy the peoples, As the Lord had commanded them, 35But they got involved with the nations And learned their practices, 36And served their idols, Which became a snare to them. 37They even sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons, 38And shed innocent blood, The blood of their sons and their daughters Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; And the land was defiled with the blood. 39So they became unclean in their practices, And were unfaithful in their deeds. 40Therefore the anger of the Lord was kindled against His people, And He loathed His inheritance. 41So He handed them over to the nations, And those who hated them ruled over them.King James Version
Chapter 106
34They did not destroy the nations, concerning whom the LORD commanded them: 35But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works. 36And they served their idols: which were a snare unto them. 37Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils, 38And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood. 39Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their own inventions. 40Therefore was the wrath of the LORD kindled against his people, insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance. 41And he gave them into the hand of the heathen; and they that hated them ruled over them.Christian Standard Bible

Chapter 106
34Israel failed to destroy the nations in the land, as the Lord had commanded them. 35Instead, they mingled among the pagans and adopted their evil customs. 36They worshiped their idols, which led to their downfall. 37They even sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons. 38They shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters. By sacrificing them to the idols of Canaan, they polluted the land with murder. 39They defiled themselves by their evil deeds, and their love of idols was adultery in the Lord’s sight.English Standard Version
Chapter 106
34They did not destroy the peoples, as the LORD commanded them, 35but they mixed with the nations and learned to do as they did. 36They served their idols, which became a snare to them. 37They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons; 38they poured out innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was polluted with blood. 39Thus they became unclean by their acts, and played the whore in their deeds. 40Then the anger of the LORD was kindled against his people, and he abhorred his heritage; 41he gave them into the hand of the nations, so that those who hated them ruled over them.New International Version
