Chapter 106
33Because they were rebellious against His Spirit, He spoke rashly with his lips. 34They did not destroy the peoples, As the Lord had commanded them, 35But they got involved with the nations And learned their practices, 36And served their idols, Which became a snare to them. 37They even sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons, 38And shed innocent blood, The blood of their sons and their daughters Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; And the land was defiled with the blood. 39So they became unclean in their practices, And were unfaithful in their deeds. 40Therefore the anger of the Lord was kindled against His people, And He loathed His inheritance. 41So He handed them over to the nations, And those who hated them ruled over them. 42Their enemies also oppressed them, And they were subdued under their power. 43Many times He would rescue them; They, however, were rebellious in their plan, And they sank down into their guilt. 44Nevertheless He looked at their distress When He heard their cry; 45And He remembered His covenant for their sake, And relented according to the greatness of His mercy. 46He also made them objects of compassion In the presence of all their captors. 47Save us, Lord our God, And gather us from the nations, To give thanks to Your holy name And glory in Your praise. 48Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, From everlasting to everlasting. 34They did not destroy the nations, concerning whom the LORD commanded them:
35But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works.
36And they served their idols: which were a snare unto them.
37Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils,
38And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood.
39Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their own inventions.
40Therefore was the wrath of the LORD kindled against his people, insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance.
41And he gave them into the hand of the heathen; and they that hated them ruled over them.
42Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their hand.
43Many times did he deliver them; but they provoked him with their counsel, and were brought low for their iniquity.
44Nevertheless he regarded their affliction, when he heard their cry:
45And he remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercies.
46He made them also to be pitied of all those that carried them captives.
47Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the heathen, to give thanks unto thy holy name, and to triumph in thy praise.
48Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the LORD.

33for they embittered his spirit, and he spoke rashly with his lips. 34They did not destroy the peoples as the Lord had commanded them 35but mingled with the nations and adopted their ways. 36They served their idols, which became a snare to them. 37They sacrificed their sons and daughters to demons. 38They shed innocent blood -- the blood of their sons and daughters whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; so the land became polluted with blood.
39They defiled themselves by their actions and prostituted themselves by their deeds.
40Therefore the Lord's anger burned against his people, and he abhorred his own inheritance.
41He handed them over to the nations; those who hated them ruled over them.
42Their enemies oppressed them, and they were subdued under their power.

Chapter 106
33They made Moses angry, and he spoke foolishly.
34Israel failed to destroy the nations in the land, as the Lord had commanded them.
35Instead, they mingled among the pagans and adopted their evil customs.
36They worshiped their idols, which led to their downfall.
37They even sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons.
38They shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters. By sacrificing them to the idols of Canaan, they polluted the land with murder.
39They defiled themselves by their evil deeds, and their love of idols was adultery in the Lord’s sight.
40That is why the Lord’s anger burned against his people, and he abhorred his own special possession.
41He handed them over to pagan nations, and they were ruled by those who hated them.
42Their enemies crushed them and brought them under their cruel power.
43Again and again he rescued them, but they chose to rebel against him, and they were finally destroyed by their sin.
44Even so, he pitied them in their distress and listened to their cries.
45He remembered his covenant with them and relented because of his unfailing love.
46He even caused their captors to treat them with kindness.

33for they made his spirit bitter, and he spoke rashly with his lips. 34They did not destroy the peoples, as the LORD commanded them, 35but they mixed with the nations and learned to do as they did. 36They served their idols, which became a snare to them. 37They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons; 38they poured out innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was polluted with blood. 39Thus they became unclean by their acts, and played the whore in their deeds. 40Then the anger of the LORD was kindled against his people, and he abhorred his heritage; 41he gave them into the hand of the nations, so that those who hated them ruled over them. 42Their enemies oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their power. 43Many times he delivered them, but they were rebellious in their purposes and were brought low through their iniquity. 44Nevertheless, he looked upon their distress, when he heard their cry. 45For their sake he remembered his covenant, and relented according to the abundance of his steadfast love. 46He caused them to be pitied by all those who held them captive. 47Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the nations, that we may give thanks to your holy name and glory in your praise. 48Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting! 39They defiled themselves by what they did; by their deeds they prostituted themselves.
40Therefore the LORD was angry with his people and abhorred his inheritance.
41He gave them into the hands of the nations, and their foes ruled over them.
42Their enemies oppressed them and subjected them to their power.
43Many times he delivered them, but they were bent on rebellion and they wasted away in their sin.
44Yet he took note of their distress when he heard their cry;
45for their sake he remembered his covenant and out of his great love he relented.
