Chapter 105
13And they wandered from nation to nation, From one kingdom to another people, 14He allowed no one to oppress them, And He rebuked kings for their sakes, saying, 15'Do not touch My anointed ones, And do not harm My prophets.' 16And He called for a famine upon the land; He broke the whole staff of bread. 17He sent a man before them, Joseph, who was sold as a slave. 18They forced his feet into shackles, He was put in irons; 19Until the time that his word came to pass, The word of the Lord refined him.King James Version
Chapter 105
13When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people; 14He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes; 15Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm. 16Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread. 17He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant: 18Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron: 19Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.Christian Standard Bible

16He called down famine against the land and destroyed the entire food supply.
17He had sent a man ahead of them -- Joseph, who was sold as a slave.

Chapter 105
13They wandered from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another. 14Yet he did not let anyone oppress them. He warned kings on their behalf: 15'Do not touch my chosen people, and do not hurt my prophets.'
16He called for a famine on the land of Canaan, cutting off its food supply.
17Then he sent someone to Egypt ahead of them — Joseph, who was sold as a slave.
18They bruised his feet with fetters and placed his neck in an iron collar.
19Until the time came to fulfill his dreams, the Lord tested Joseph’s character.
