Chapter 10

13Why has the wicked treated God disrespectfully? He has said to himself, 'You will not require an account.' 14You have seen it, for You have looked at harm and provocation to take it into Your hand. The unfortunate commits himself to You; You have been the helper of the orphan. 15Break the arm of the wicked and the evildoer, Seek out his wickedness until You find none. 16The Lord is King forever and ever; Nations have perished from His land. 17Lord, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will strengthen their heart, You will make Your ear attentive

Chapter 10

13Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God? he hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require it.
14Thou hast seen it; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand: the poor committeth himself unto thee; thou art the helper of the fatherless.
15Break thou the arm of the wicked and the evil man: seek out his wickedness till thou find none.
16The Lord is King for ever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land.

13Why has the wicked person despised God? He says to himself, "You will not demand an account." 14But you yourself have seen trouble and grief, observing it in order to take the matter into your hands. The helpless one entrusts himself to you; you are a helper of the fatherless.

13Why do the wicked get away with despising God? They think, 'God will never call us to account.' 14But you see the trouble and grief they cause. You take note of it and punish them. The helpless put their trust in you. You defend the orphans.
15Break the arms of these wicked, evil people! Go after them until the last one is destroyed. 16The Lord is king forever and ever! The godless nations will vanish from the land. 17Lord, you know the hopes of the helpless. Surely you will hear their cries and comfort them.
