Chapter 36
1
Now these are
the records of
the generations of Esau (that is, Edom).
2
Esau took his wives from the daughters of Canaan: Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Oholibamah the daughter of Anah, the granddaughter of Zibeon the Hivite;
3
also Basemath, Ishmael’s daughter, the sister of Nebaioth.
4
Adah bore Eliphaz to Esau, and Basemath gave birth to Reuel,
5
and Oholibamah gave birth to Jeush, Jalam, and Korah. These are the sons of Esau who were born to him in the land of Canaan.
6
Then Esau took his wives, his sons, his daughters, and all his household, and his livestock and all his cattle, and all his property which he had acquired in the land of Canaan, and went to
another
land away from his brother Jacob.

1
Now these are the generations of Esau, who is Edom.
2
Esau took his wives of the daughters of Canaan; Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite;
3
And Bashemath Ishmael's daughter, sister of Nebajoth.
4
And Adah bare to Esau Eliphaz; and Bashemath bare Reuel;
5
And Aholibamah bare Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah: these are the sons of Esau, which were born unto him in the land of Canaan.
6
And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the persons of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his substance, which he had got in the land of Canaan; and went into the country from the face of his brother Jacob.

Chapter 36
1
This is the account of the descendants of Esau (also known as Edom).

Esau married two young women from Canaan: Adah, the daughter of Elon the Hittite; and Oholibamah, the daughter of Anah and granddaughter of Zibeon the Hivite.

He also married his cousin Basemath, who was the daughter of Ishmael and the sister of Nebaioth.
4
Adah gave birth to a son named Eliphaz for Esau. Basemath gave birth to a son named Reuel.
5
Oholibamah gave birth to sons named Jeush, Jalam, and Korah. All these sons were born to Esau in the land of Canaan.
6
Esau took his wives, his children, and his entire household, along with his livestock and cattle — all the wealth he had acquired in the land of Canaan — and moved away from his brother, Jacob.
