Isaiah 3:10-14
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 3
10
Say to the righteous that
it will go
well
for them,
For they will eat the fruit of their actions.
11
Woe to the wicked!
It will go
badly
for him,
For what he deserves will be done to him.
12
My people! Their oppressors treat them violently,
And women rule over them.
My people! Those who guide you lead
you
astray
And confuse the direction of your paths.
13
The
Lord
arises to contend,
And stands to judge the people.
14
The
Lord
enters into judgment with the elders and leaders of His people,
'It is you who have devoured the vineyard;
The goods stolen from the poor are in your houses.
King James Version
Chapter 3
10
Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.
11
Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.
12
As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.
13
The
Lord
standeth up to plead, and standeth to judge the people.
14
The
Lord
will enter into judgment with the ancients of his people, and the princes thereof: for ye have eaten up the vineyard; the spoil of the poor is in your houses.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 3
10
Tell the righteous that it will go well for them,
for they will eat the fruit of their labor.
11
Woe to the wicked—it will go badly for them,
for what they have done will be done to them.
12
Youths oppress my people,
and women rule over them.
My people, your leaders mislead you;
they confuse the direction of your paths.
13
The
Lord
rises to argue the case
and stands to judge the people.
14
The
Lord
brings this charge
against the elders and leaders of his people:
"You have devastated the vineyard.
The plunder from the poor is in your houses.
New Living Translation
Chapter 3
10
Tell the godly that all will be well for them.
They will enjoy the rich reward they have earned!
11
But the wicked are doomed,
for they will get exactly what they deserve.
12
Childish leaders oppress my people,
and women rule over them.
O my people, your leaders mislead you;
they send you down the wrong road.
13
The
Lord
takes his place in court
and presents his case against his people.
14
The
Lord
comes forward to pronounce judgment
on the elders and rulers of his people:
'You have ruined Israel, my vineyard.
Your houses are filled with things stolen from the poor.
English Standard Version

My people — infants are their oppressors,
and women rule over them.
O my people, your guides mislead you
and they have swallowed up the course of your paths.
13
The
Lord
has taken his place to contend;
he stands to judge peoples.
14
The
Lord
will enter into judgment
with the elders and princes of his people:
"It is you who have devoured the vineyard,
the spoil of the poor is in your houses.
