John 18:30-35
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 18
30They answered and said to him, 'If this Man were not a criminal, we would not have handed Him over to you.' 31So Pilate said to them, 'Take Him yourselves, and judge Him according to your law.' The Jews said to him, 'We are not permitted to put anyone to death.' 32This happened so that the word of Jesus which He said, indicating what kind of death He was going to die, would be fulfilled.
33Therefore Pilate entered the Praetorium again, and summoned Jesus and said to Him, 'You are the King of the Jews?'
34Jesus answered, 'Are you saying this on your own, or did others tell you about Me?'
35Pilate answered, 'I am not a Jew, am I? Your own nation and the chief priests handed You over to me; what have You done?'
King James Version
Chapter 18
30They answered and said unto him, If he were not a malefactor, we would not have delivered him up unto thee. 31Then said Pilate unto them, Take ye him, and judge him according to your law. The Jews therefore said unto him, It is not lawful for us to put any man to death: 32That the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spake, signifying what death he should die. 33Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews? 34Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me? 35Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done?Christian Standard Bible

Chapter 18
30They answered him, “If this man were not doing evil, we would not have delivered him over to you.” 31Pilate said to them, “Take him yourselves and judge him by your own law.” The Jews said to him, “It is not lawful for us to put anyone to death.” 32This was to fulfill the word that Jesus had spoken to show by what kind of death he was going to die.
33So Pilate entered his headquarters again and called Jesus and said to him, “Are you the King of the Jews?”
34Jesus answered, “Do you say this of your own accord, or did others say it to you about me?”
35Pilate answered, “Am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have delivered you over to me. What have you done?”
