John 18:30-33
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 18
30They answered and said to him, 'If this Man were not a criminal, we would not have handed Him over to you.' 31So Pilate said to them, 'Take Him yourselves, and judge Him according to your law.' The Jews said to him, 'We are not permitted to put anyone to death.' 32This happened so that the word of Jesus which He said, indicating what kind of death He was going to die, would be fulfilled.King James Version
Chapter 18
30They answered and said unto him, If he were not a malefactor, we would not have delivered him up unto thee. 31Then said Pilate unto them, Take ye him, and judge him according to your law. The Jews therefore said unto him, It is not lawful for us to put any man to death: 32That the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spake, signifying what death he should die. 33Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews?Christian Standard Bible
