What does Isaiah 11:14 mean?

Isaiah has prophesied that during the kingdom of the "root of Jesse," the Messiah will reassemble all the scattered Israelites as one, reunited people (Isaiah 11:11–12). The old division between Ephraim in the north and Judah in the south will be gone (Isaiah 11:13). They will be one people under the Lord once more.

Now he writes that this reunited Israel will fully reclaim the Promised Land. They will defeat all their regional enemies, including the Philistines, Edom, Moab, and the Ammonites. The people of these nations will obey the reunited Israel, ruled by Jesus, the Messiah, from Jerusalem. Peace will be restored in this region because of the strength of God through His people Israel.
