John 19:12-16
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 19
12
As a result of this, Pilate made efforts to release Him; but the Jews shouted, saying, 'If you release this Man, you are not a friend of Caesar; everyone who makes himself
out to be
a king opposes Caesar!'
13
Therefore when Pilate heard these words, he brought Jesus out, and sat down on the judgment seat at a place called The Pavement—but in Hebrew, Gabbatha.
14
Now it was the day of preparation for the Passover; it was about the sixth hour. And he *said to the Jews, 'Look, your King!'
15
So they shouted, 'Away with
Him,
away with
Him,
crucify Him!' Pilate *said to them, 'Shall I crucify your King?' The chief priests answered, 'We have no king except Caesar.'
16
So he then handed Him over to them to be crucified.
King James Version
Chapter 19
12
And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou let this man go, thou art not Caesar's friend: whosoever maketh himself a king speaketh against Caesar.
13
When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus forth, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha.
14
And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King!
15
But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.
16
Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away.
Christian Standard Bible

From that moment Pilate kept trying to release him. But the Jews shouted, "If you release this man, you are not Caesar’s friend. Anyone who makes himself a king opposes Caesar!"
13
When Pilate heard these words, he brought Jesus outside. He sat down on the judge’s seat in a place called the Stone Pavement (but in Aramaic,
Gabbatha
).
14
It was the preparation day for the Passover, and it was about noon. Then he told the Jews, "Here is your king!"
15
They shouted, "Take him away! Take him away! Crucify him!" Pilate said to them, "Should I crucify your king?" "We have no king but Caesar!" the chief priests answered.
16
Then he handed him over to be crucified. Then they took Jesus away.

Chapter 19
12
Then Pilate tried to release him, but the Jewish leaders shouted, 'If you release this man, you are no ‘friend of Caesar.’ Anyone who declares himself a king is a rebel against Caesar.'
13
When they said this, Pilate brought Jesus out to them again. Then Pilate sat down on the judgment seat on the platform that is called the Stone Pavement (in Hebrew,
Gabbatha
).
14
It was now about noon on the day of preparation for the Passover. And Pilate said to the people, 'Look, here is your king!'
15
Away with him,' they yelled. 'Away with him! Crucify him!' 'What? Crucify your king?' Pilate asked. 'We have no king but Caesar,' the leading priests shouted back.
16
Then Pilate turned Jesus over to them to be crucified. So they took Jesus away.
