24Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am, you will die in your sins.' 25Then they were saying to Him, 'Who are You?' Jesus said to them, 'What have I even been saying to you from the beginning? 26I have many things to say and to judge regarding you, but He who sent Me is true; and the things which I heard from Him, these I say to the world.' 27They did not realize that He was speaking to them about the Father. 28So Jesus said, 'When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am, and I do nothing on My own, but I say these things as the Father instructed Me.King James Version
Chapter 8
24I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. 25Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning. 26I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him. 27They understood not that he spake to them of the Father. 28Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.Christian Standard Bible
New Living Translation
25Who are you?' they demanded. Jesus replied, 'The one I have always claimed to be.
26I have much to say about you and much to condemn, but I won’t. For I say only what I have heard from the one who sent me, and he is completely truthful.'
27But they still didn’t understand that he was talking about his Father.
