Chapter 8
23And He was saying to them, 'You are from below, I am from above; you are of this world, I am not of this world. 24Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am, you will die in your sins.' 25Then they were saying to Him, 'Who are You?' Jesus said to them, 'What have I even been saying to you from the beginning? 26I have many things to say and to judge regarding you, but He who sent Me is true; and the things which I heard from Him, these I say to the world.' 27They did not realize that He was speaking to them about the Father.King James Version

23Jesus continued, 'You are from below; I am from above. You belong to this world; I do not. 24That is why I said that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I AM who I claim to be, you will die in your sins.'
25Who are you?' they demanded. Jesus replied, 'The one I have always claimed to be.
26I have much to say about you and much to condemn, but I won’t. For I say only what I have heard from the one who sent me, and he is completely truthful.'
27But they still didn’t understand that he was talking about his Father.
