John 3:30-36
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 3
30He must increase, but I must decrease.
31He who comes from above is above all; the one who is only from the earth is of the earth and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.
32What He has seen and heard, of this He testifies; and no one accepts His testimony.
33The one who has accepted His testimony has certified that God is true.
34For He whom God sent speaks the words of God; for He does not give the Spirit sparingly.
35The Father loves the Son and has entrusted all things to His hand.
36The one who believes in the Son has eternal life; but the one who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.'
King James Version
Chapter 3
30He must increase, but I must decrease.
31He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.
32And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.
33He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.
34For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.
35The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.
36He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
Christian Standard Bible
31The one who comes from above is above all. The one who is from the earth is earthly and speaks in earthly terms. The one who comes from heaven is above all.
32He testifies to what he has seen and heard, and yet no one accepts his testimony.
33The one who has accepted his testimony has affirmed that God is true.
34For the one whom God sent speaks God’s words, since he gives the Spirit without measure.
35The Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hands.
36The one who believes in the Son has eternal life, but the one who rejects the Son will not see life; instead, the wrath of God remains on him.
New Living Translation
31He has come from above and is greater than anyone else. We are of the earth, and we speak of earthly things, but he has come from heaven and is greater than anyone else.
32He testifies about what he has seen and heard, but how few believe what he tells them!
33Anyone who accepts his testimony can affirm that God is true.
34For he is sent by God. He speaks God’s words, for God gives him the Spirit without limit.
35The Father loves his Son and has put everything into his hands.
36And anyone who believes in God’s Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn’t obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God’s angry judgment.'
English Standard Version
31He who comes from above is above all. He who is of the earth belongs to the earth and speaks in an earthly way. He who comes from heaven is above all.
32He bears witness to what he has seen and heard, yet no one receives his testimony.
33Whoever receives his testimony sets his seal to this, that God is true.
34For he whom God has sent utters the words of God, for he gives the Spirit without measure.
35The Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand.
36Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.
New International Version
31The one who comes from above is above all; the one who is from the earth belongs to the earth, and speaks as one from the earth. The one who comes from heaven is above all.
32He testifies to what he has seen and heard, but no one accepts his testimony.
33Whoever has accepted it has certified that God is truthful.
34For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit.
35The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands.
36Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.
