Isaiah 1:16-18
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 1
16
'Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean;
Remove the evil of your deeds from My sight.
Stop doing evil,
17
Learn to do good;
Seek justice,
Rebuke the oppressor,
Obtain justice for the orphan,
Plead for the widow’s case.
18
'Come now, and let us debate
your case,
'
Says the
Lord
,
'Though your sins are as scarlet,
They shall become as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They shall be like wool.
King James Version
Chapter 1
16
Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;
17
Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.
18
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the
Lord
: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
