Chapter 35
6So Jacob came to Luz, which is in the land of Canaan, that is, Bethel, he and all the people that were with him. 7And he built there an altar, and called the place Elbethel: because there God appeared unto him, when he fled from the face of his brother. 8But Deborah Rebekah's nurse died, and she was buried beneath Bethel under an oak: and the name of it was called Allonbachuth. 9And God appeared unto Jacob again, when he came out of Padanaram, and blessed him. 10And God said unto him, Thy name is Jacob: thy name shall not be called any more Jacob, but Israel shall be thy name: and he called his name Israel. 11And God said unto him, I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins; 12And the land which I gave Abraham and Isaac, to thee I will give it, and to thy seed after thee will I give the land. 13And God went up from him in the place where he talked with him.Christian Standard Bible

9God appeared to Jacob again after he returned from Paddan-aram, and he blessed him.
10God said to him, "Your name is Jacob; you will no longer be named Jacob, but your name will be Israel." So he named him Israel.
11God also said to him, "I am God Almighty. Be fruitful and multiply. A nation, indeed an assembly of nations, will come from you, and kings will descend from you.
12I will give to you the land that I gave to Abraham and Isaac. And I will give the land to your future descendants."
13Then God withdrew from him at the place where he had spoken to him.
New Living Translation
Chapter 35
6Eventually, Jacob and his household arrived at Luz (also called Bethel) in Canaan. 7Jacob built an altar there and named the place El-bethel (which means 'God of Bethel'), because God had appeared to him there when he was fleeing from his brother, Esau.
9Now that Jacob had returned from Paddan-aram, God appeared to him again at Bethel. God blessed him,
10saying, 'Your name is Jacob, but you will not be called Jacob any longer. From now on your name will be Israel.' So God renamed him Israel.
11Then God said, 'I am El-Shaddai — ‘God Almighty.’ Be fruitful and multiply. You will become a great nation, even many nations. Kings will be among your descendants!
12And I will give you the land I once gave to Abraham and Isaac. Yes, I will give it to you and your descendants after you.'
13Then God went up from the place where he had spoken to Jacob.
