Chapter 22

40For You have encircled me with strength for battle; You have forced those who rose up against me to bow down under me. 41You have also made my enemies turn their backs to me, And I destroyed those who hated me. 42They looked, but there was no one to save them; Even to the Lord, but He did not answer them.

40For thou hast girded me with strength to battle: them that rose up against me hast thou subdued under me.
41Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies, that I might destroy them that hate me.
42They looked, but there was none to save; even unto the Lord, but he answered them not.
