And David said to him, 'Your blood is on your head, because your
own
mouth has testified against you, saying, ‘I have finished off the
Lord
’S anointed.’?'

Then David sang this song of mourning over Saul and his son Jonathan,
18
and he told
them
to teach the sons of Judah
the mourning song of
the bow; behold, it is written in the Book of Jashar.
19
'Your beauty, Israel, is slaughtered on your high places!

And David said unto him, Thy blood
be
upon thy head; for thy mouth hath testified against thee, saying, I have slain the LORD'S anointed.

And David lamented with this lamentation over Saul and over Jonathan his son:
18
(Also he bade them teach the children of Judah
the use of
the bow: behold,
it is
written in the book of Jasher.)
19
The beauty of Israel is slain upon thy high places: how are the mighty fallen!

For David had said to the Amalekite, "Your blood is on your own head because your own mouth testified against you by saying, 'I killed the Lord's anointed.' "

David sang the following lament for Saul and his son Jonathan,
18
and he ordered that the Judahites be taught The Song of the Bow. It is written in the Book of Jashar:
19
The splendor of Israel lies slain on your heights. How the mighty have fallen!

You have condemned yourself,' David said, 'for you yourself confessed that you killed the
Lord
’s anointed one.'
17
Then David composed a funeral song for Saul and Jonathan,
18
and he commanded that it be taught to the people of Judah. It is known as the Song of the Bow, and it is recorded in
The Book of Jashar.
19
Your pride and joy, O Israel, lies dead on the hills!
Oh, how the mighty heroes have fallen!
