6On another Sabbath He entered the synagogue and taught; and a man was there whose right hand was withered.
7Now the scribes and the Pharisees were watching Him closely to see if He healed on the Sabbath, so that they might find a reason to accuse Him.
8But He knew what they were thinking, and He said to the man with the withered hand, 'Get up and come forward!' And he got up and came forward.
9And Jesus said to them, 'I ask you whether it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath or to do harm, to save a life or to destroy it?'
10And after looking around at them all, He said to him, 'Stretch out your hand!' And he did so; and his hand was restored.
11But they themselves were filled with senseless rage, and began discussing together what they might do to Jesus.

7And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him.
8But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth.
9Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil to save life, or to destroy it

7The scribes and Pharisees were watching him closely, to see if he would heal on the Sabbath, so that they could find a charge against him.
8But he knew their thoughts and told the man with the shriveled hand, "Get up and stand here." So he got up and stood there.
9Then Jesus said to them, "I ask you: Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath or to do evil, to save life or to destroy it?"
10After looking around at them all, he told him, "Stretch out your hand." He did, and his hand was restored.
11They, however, were filled with rage and started discussing with one another what they might do to Jesus.

6On another Sabbath day, a man with a deformed right hand was in the synagogue while Jesus was teaching.
7The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees watched Jesus closely. If he healed the man’s hand, they planned to accuse him of working on the Sabbath.
8But Jesus knew their thoughts. He said to the man with the deformed hand, 'Come and stand in front of everyone.' So the man came forward.
9Then Jesus said to his critics, 'I have a question for you. Does the law permit good deeds on the Sabbath, or is it a day for doing evil? Is this a day to save life or to destroy it?'
