not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick.

I have not come to call the righteous to repentance, but sinners.'

And they said to Him, 'The disciples of John often fast and offer prayers, the
disciples
of the Pharisees also do the same, but Yours eat and drink.'

I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Jesus replied to them, "It is not those who are healthy who need a doctor, but those who are sick.

I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."

Then they said to him, "John’s disciples fast often and say prayers, and those of the Pharisees do the same, but yours eat and drink."

Chapter 5

Jesus answered them, 'Healthy people don’t need a doctor — sick people do.
32
I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners and need to repent.'
33
One day some people said to Jesus, 'John the Baptist’s disciples fast and pray regularly, and so do the disciples of the Pharisees. Why are your disciples always eating and drinking?'
