Luke 5:3-5
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 5
3
And He got into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little
distance
from the land. And He sat down and
continued
teaching the crowds from the boat.
4
Now when He had finished speaking, He said to Simon, 'Put out into the deep water and let down your nets for a catch.'
5
Simon responded and said, 'Master, we worked hard all night and caught nothing, but I will do as You say
and
let down the nets.'
King James Version
Chapter 5
3
And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.
4
Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.
5
And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.
Christian Standard Bible

When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, 'Now go out where it is deeper, and let down your nets to catch some fish.'
5
Master,' Simon replied, 'we worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you say so, I’ll let the nets down again.'
