John 16:3-8
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 16
3These things they will do because they have not known the Father nor Me. 4But these things I have spoken to you, so that when their hour comes, you may remember that I told you of them. However, I did not say these things to you at the beginning, because I was with you.
5But now I am going to Him who sent Me; and none of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’
6But because I have said these things to you, grief has filled your heart.
7But I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I am leaving; for if I do not leave, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.
8And He, when He comes, will convict the world regarding sin, and righteousness, and judgment:

Chapter 16
3And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me. 4But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you. 5But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou? 6But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 16
3They will do these things because they haven't known the Father or me. 4But I have told you these things so that when their time comes you will remember I told them to you. I didn't tell you these things from the beginning, because I was with you. 5But now I am going away to him who sent me, and not one of you asks me, 'Where are you going? ' 6Yet, because I have spoken these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. 7Nevertheless, I am telling you the truth. It is for your benefit that I go away, because if I don't go away the Counselor will not come to you. If I go, I will send him to you. 8When he comes, he will convict the world about sin, righteousness, and judgment:New Living Translation
Chapter 16
3This is because they have never known the Father or me. 4Yes, I’m telling you these things now, so that when they happen, you will remember my warning. I didn’t tell you earlier because I was going to be with you for a while longer.
5But now I am going away to the one who sent me, and not one of you is asking where I am going.
6Instead, you grieve because of what I’ve told you.
7But in fact, it is best for you that I go away, because if I don’t, the Advocate won’t come. If I do go away, then I will send him to you.
8And when he comes, he will convict the world of its sin, and of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment.

Chapter 16
3They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me. 4I have told you this, so that when their time comes you will remember that I warned you about them. I did not tell you this from the beginning because I was with you, 5but now I am going to him who sent me. None of you asks me, 'Where are you going?' 6Rather, you are filled with grief because I have said these things. 7But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. 8When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment:New King James Version
5“But now I go away to Him who sent Me, and none of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’
6But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart.
7Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.
8And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
