Isaiah 2:4-13
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 2
4And He will judge between the nations, And will mediate for many peoples; And they will beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning knives. Nation will not lift up a sword against nation, And never again will they learn war. 5Come, house of Jacob, and let’s walk in the light of the Lord. 6For You have abandoned Your people, the house of Jacob, Because they are filled with influences from the east, And they are soothsayers like the Philistines. They also strike bargains with the children of foreigners. 7Their land has also been filled with silver and gold And there is no end to their treasures; Their land has also been filled with horses, And there is no end to their chariots. 8Their land has also been filled with idols; They worship the work of their hands, That which their fingers have made. 9So the common person has been humbled And the person of importance has been brought low, But do not forgive them. 10Enter the rocky place and hide in the dust From the terror of the Lord and from the splendor of His majesty. 11The proud look of humanity will be brought low, And the arrogance of people will be humbled; And the Lord alone will be exalted on that day. 12For the Lord of armies will have a day of reckoning Against everyone who is arrogant and haughty, And against everyone who is lifted up, That he may be brought low. 13And it will be against all the cedars of Lebanon that are lofty and lifted up, Against all the oaks of Bashan,King James Version
Chapter 2
4And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. 5O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.
6Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children of strangers.
7Their land also is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures; their land is also full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots:
8Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made:
9And the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not.
10Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty.
11The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
12For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:
13And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan,

Chapter 2
4He will settle disputes among the nations and provide arbitration for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plows and their spears into pruning knives. Nation will not take up the sword against nation, and they will never again train for war. 5House of Jacob, come and let's walk in the Lord's light. 6For you have abandoned your people, the house of Jacob, because they are full of divination from the East and of fortune-tellers like the Philistines. They are in league with foreigners. 7Their land is full of silver and gold, and there is no limit to their treasures; their land is full of horses, and there is no limit to their chariots. 8Their land is full of worthless idols; they worship the work of their hands, what their fingers have made. 9So humanity is brought low, and each person is humbled. Do not forgive them! 10Go into the rocks and hide in the dust from the terror of the Lord and from his majestic splendor.
11The pride of mankind will be humbled, and human loftiness will be brought low; the Lord alone will be exalted on that day.
12For a day belonging to the Lord of Armies is coming against all that is proud and lofty, against all that is lifted up--it will be humbled --
13against all the cedars of Lebanon, lofty and lifted up, against all the oaks of Bashan,
New Living Translation
5Come, descendants of Jacob, let us walk in the light of the Lord!
6For the Lord has rejected his people, the descendants of Jacob, because they have filled their land with practices from the East and with sorcerers, as the Philistines do. They have made alliances with pagans.
7Israel is full of silver and gold; there is no end to its treasures. Their land is full of warhorses; there is no end to its chariots.
8Their land is full of idols; the people worship things they have made with their own hands.
9So now they will be humbled, and all will be brought low — do not forgive them.
10Crawl into caves in the rocks. Hide in the dust from the terror of the Lord and the glory of his majesty.
11Human pride will be brought down, and human arrogance will be humbled. Only the Lord will be exalted on that day of judgment.
