New American Standard Bible
Chapter 2
20On that day people will throw away to the moles and the bats Their idols of silver and their idols of gold, Which they made for themselves to worship, 21In order to go into the clefts of the rocks and the crannies of the cliffs Before the terror of the Lord and the splendor of His majesty, When He arises to terrify the earth. 22 Take no account of man, whose breath of life is in his nostrils; For why should he be esteemed?King James Version
Chapter 2
20In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats; 21To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth. 22Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 2
20On that day people will throw their worthless idols of silver and gold, which they made to worship, to the moles and the bats. 21They will go into the caves of the rocks and the crevices in the cliffs, away from the terror of the Lord and from his majestic splendor, when he rises to terrify the earth. 22Put no more trust in a mere human, who has only the breath in his nostrils. What is he really worth?New Living Translation
Chapter 2
20On that day of judgment they will abandon the gold and silver idols they made for themselves to worship. They will leave their gods to the rodents and bats, 21while they crawl away into caverns and hide among the jagged rocks in the cliffs. They will try to escape the terror of the Lord and the glory of his majesty as he rises to shake the earth. 22Don’t put your trust in mere humans. They are as frail as breath. What good are they?English Standard Version
