Mark 14:20-21
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 14
20
But He said to them, '
It is
one of the twelve, the one who dips
bread
with Me in the bowl.
21
For the Son of Man is going away just as it is written about Him; but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed!
It would have been
good for that man if he had not been born.'
King James Version
Chapter 14
20
And he answered and said unto them,
It is
one of the twelve, that dippeth with me in the dish.
21
The Son of man indeed goeth, as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! good were it for that man if he had never been born.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 14
20
He said to them, "It is one of the Twelve--the one who is dipping bread in the bowl with me.
21
For the Son of Man will go just as it is written about him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been better for him if he had not been born."
New Living Translation
Chapter 14
20
He replied, 'It is one of you twelve who is eating from this bowl with me.
21
For the Son of Man must die, as the Scriptures declared long ago. But how terrible it will be for the one who betrays him. It would be far better for that man if he had never been born!'
English Standard Version
