Chapter 14

20But He said to them, 'It is one of the twelve, the one who dips bread with Me in the bowl. 21For the Son of Man is going away just as it is written about Him; but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born.'
22While they were eating, He took some bread, and after a blessing He broke it, and gave it to them, and said, 'Take it; this is My body.' 23And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, and they all drank from it. 24And He said to them, 'This is My blood of the covenant, which is being poured out for many.

20And he answered and said unto them, It is one of the twelve, that dippeth with me in the dish.
21The Son of man indeed goeth, as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! good were it for that man if he had never been born.
22And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body. 23And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it. 24And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.

20He replied, 'It is one of you twelve who is eating from this bowl with me. 21For the Son of Man must die, as the Scriptures declared long ago. But how terrible it will be for the one who betrays him. It would be far better for that man if he had never been born!'
22As they were eating, Jesus took some bread and blessed it. Then he broke it in pieces and gave it to the disciples, saying, 'Take it, for this is my body.'
23And he took a cup of wine and gave thanks to God for it. He gave it to them, and they all drank from it. 24And he said to them, 'This is my blood, which confirms the covenant between God and his people. It is poured out as a sacrifice for many.
