Luke 22:61-64
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 22
61
And
then
the Lord turned and looked at Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had told him, 'Before a rooster crows today, you will deny Me three times.'
62
And he went out and wept bitterly.
63
The men who were holding Jesus in custody
began
mocking Him and beating Him,
64
and they blindfolded Him and
repeatedly
asked Him, saying, 'Prophesy, who is the one who hit You?'
King James Version
Chapter 22

And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.
62
And Peter went out, and wept bitterly.
63
And the men that held Jesus mocked him, and smote him.
64
And when they had blindfolded him, they struck him on the face, and asked him, saying, Prophesy, who is it that smote thee?
Christian Standard Bible

The guards in charge of Jesus began mocking and beating him.
